I was wondering.... On this website I went to, It said that the
Genkidama is the same as Spirit Bomb. Is this true?

The "Spirit Bomb" IS the Genki Dama under the dark cloud of FUN dubbing.
Apparently FUN takes the liberty of changing those names which would be too
complicated for us "stupid Americans" or because they aren't "cool" (or should
it be Kewl?) enough for pop cultural.

So to answer your question, the Spirit Bomb is to the Genki Dama what half
priced K-mart jeans are to CK ones

Now, now, Isa, aren't we being a wee bit harsh? Spirit Bomb is a close but not
literal translation of Genki Dama. Genki translated to english has the
meanings of 'Healthy', 'spirit', 'cheerful', and Dama is another way of saying
'ball'(the other is tama). The word 'ball' was replaced with 'bomb' to make it
sound better, I guess.

Yeah, I guess...but "Spirit Bomb" doesn't (nor ever will) have the appeal to me
that "Genki Dama" does....

Not only that, but they had already given the name "Spirit Ball" to
Yamucha's energy sphere when he used it in the room of time and space on
Kami's palace. Lotta good it did too... That episode was a little touching
the way the Saiyans picked 'em off one by one and "killed" them.

No, it's "Spirit Ball." Turn on the closed captioning to prove this to
yourself if you taped it back when it aired in syndication, or if you bought
the commercial release of it.

Further more I don't think Japanese attacks should be translated into English
anyway. There's no need for it. They didn't tranlate Kame-hame-ha and that's
suppose to be Turtle Power ball I think.

Kamehameha doesn't mean anything. It's a nonsense word Toriyama's wife made up.

I've got the commercial release, and the CCs are pretty much exact on almost
everything. FUNi probably went over them, themselves. I'm trusting them.

Furthermore, I've always heard him saying "Ball" and not "Bomb" myself :P

Not really. In Chinese (and you thought Japanese names for attacks were either
great or pathetic, you'll think again), it's the New, Grand Turtle Beam. Is
that lame or what?

Not only did he "use" it, he INVENTED it. The others just copied the blast.
Roshi never really taught anyone the Kamehameha. Goku learned it by watching
Roshi, as did Tenshinhan by watching Goku with his 3rd eye.

Yes, King "Kamehameha", or King "Kamehameha, Nui" was in fact a ruler of
Hawaii. I forget the years he ruled, but the "Nui" part means "The Great".
