Got the latest issue of the DragonBall Z manga-translation by Viz. This
issue having the piece in "The Freeza Saga" with Cargo's death!

The strange part is (though ones who've read the manga will know this (I
didn't, as this is my first time seeing the manga) ). Anyway - in the anime
Dodoria shoots Cargo, but in the manga it's Freeza who does the deed.

Yep. TOEI changed all sorts of unimportant stuff like that.

Currently Watching
Dragon Ball
I now have some of my DB anime back!

Currently Playing
Final Fantasy IX/Chrono Cross
Not at once. That'd get confusing.

Yeah, I've been to that site (not much there at present- as the creator of the
site states, even).
Just another 'odd change' I noticed.

Weird, but I personally am still upset with Viz about this whole
censorship-for-a-wider-audience crap. Even if DBZ is 99.9%
percent uncensored (DB is more like 90% uncesored)
I will still be unhappy about it. I skimmed through the DB vol.1
graphic novel, and though they did a pretty decent job with it,
actually keeping most of the dirty jokes with a few modifications, it
is still altering what was once a perfect version of the English
Dragon Ball manga.

My source within Viz tells me that they're talking it over with their
various licensors (Toriyama, Bird Studio, Shueisha, Toei,
Cloverway) and areoptimistic, but uncertain about whether the
manga will have an uncensored version or not. In any case, you
can lend support to my unedited manga cause at:

http://www.petitiononline.com/dbmanga/petition.html

Just make sure to read the petition all the way through before you
sign, and don't put any stupid comments or hateful things in the
"comments" area. I've had far too many people say "F*** you Viz"
or "You should make the TV show uncensored" as if they have no
clue that the point of the petition is to ask the company politely for
change, and that it's about the comic books. I can't honestly figure
out why so many people (I'd say about 100 out of 8000) think that
this is about the TV show, when I clearly state that it's about the
comic books.

Anyway, that's just my $0.02.

Oh, pull your goddamn finger out. CLOTHES are censorship by this
puritanistic hair-trigger elitist bullshit argument.
