I honestly feel like doing cross-posting this thread to various other
usenet message boards to see a wider scope of the replies. BECAUSE
WHY
SHOULD ONE SINGULAR USENET MESSAGE BOARD GET THE ATTENTION & TORTURE
BY THIS "POS" TROLL ON THE HOLIDAYS. maybe i'll do it latter on in
the night. perhaps I'LL just copy & paste jenna
thread, then post it under a different user name on mine. then leave @#
$
%^ out of the cross-posting but post a link in !@#%^ so everyone can
follow this cross posting thread of jenna's. i'll give jenna the
credit for creating the thread on the first parargaraph & make a
special note in the first paragraph that this "Jenna" is a holiday
poster,please read her/he/it profile,then I'LL say something like the
thread starts out sweet & polite but near the middle/end it proceeds
to ripp apart & judge adult men for buying kiddie toys, then further
insults fans by saying this money they waste on toys should be used
for charities organiazations instead.
Sorry,I don't believe JENNA is a women, since their is no way for
anyone to prove the gender. I'm gonna say this Jenna is a guy who
maybe likes to pretend their a women because he/she/i/jenna has
trannie aspirations like kittie rose. HONESTLY why would a women
visit
a TF male dominated message board only on the holidays & preach their
sermon.
Without further delay...................................
MASTERFULLY WRITTEN BY THE KING TROLL WHO PRETENDS THEIR GENDER IS A
WOMEN "JENNA:
"Here we find ourselves on the 10th anniversarry of that fateful day
9/11. This would not be considered to be on topic for this group. It
affected us all in some way, even if you were not there when it
happened, it changed the outlook of every one on the planet. So
whether you like it or not, this does have to do with you somehow. It
is your choice whether you want to read this, if you feel it is not
necessary or that it does not concern you then you can decide to stop
reading now. If you decide you want to fight me about this then this
is also your choice, but think about the irony of what you are doing,
attacking a fellow human being on the anniversary of such a tragedy.
I
am writing this here because I posted here alot before graduate
school
and I remember alot of you from back then, yes I still lurk here from
time to time. =)
So what has changed in the last ten years? There are alot of
magazines
and news specials commemorating the 9/11 attacks, suddenly it has
become en vogue to talk about the after effects, kids who were not
yet
born when 9/11 happened and they are now 10 yrs. old, how much money
we have spent in the last 10 years on security, ect. The media
presents a jilted picture of what really happened, and they are only
doing this for the ratings. They did not do it for 9 years and they
will not do it for 11 years. 10 is a nice round number so it seems
like it is an important anniversary, and yet it is no less important
than the anniversary in 2010 or 2012.
Every time a tragedy happens in the news we, as a society, feel like
we should make changes and take corrective action. This is because we
feel powerless and want to turn back time and fix things. So the next
best thing is to make changes that are not really necessary, but we
do
it anyway because we cannot just sit idly bye and take no action at
all. Well, the 9/11 attacks were the ultimate tragedy so we made the
biggest changes.
So we changed security measures for the airports, spent billions of
dollars trying to install an invisible fence around the country, and
many other things. Now we have TSA agents forcing you to strip in
public, humiliating you as they touch and fondle you, accusing old
incontinent ladies of hiding weapons in their diapers, ect. These
kind
of security measures are too extreme, we have entered the new dark
ages where we really have no freedoms. The government can spy on your
web access and sieze your computer if they don't like the words you
are using like "terr@rist". Police can enter your home without a
warrant or without just cause, all in the name of protecting freedom.
But when all our freedoms are being taken away, what are they really
protecting?
We can not bring back the people that we lost that day and we can
never wind the clock back to undo what has been done. All we can do
is
decide where we go from here. There was no real reason to take away
all our freedoms when there was nothing they could have done to
prevent what happened. Even with all this added security it could
happen again, they would just use different methods. Making it
impossible to hijack a plane again just means they would not use a
plane next time. There is no way to completely prevent any possible
attack again unless we all live in bomb shelters and never go
outside.
That is not the life that we want to live. In a way, even after the
tightened security measures, they have still won because they have
destroyed our liberty.
However as with all things, there is a flip side to the coin. 9/11
reminded us that all human life is precious and that it can vanish in
an instant. The relationships that you take for granted and the
people
that you see on a day to day basis could be gone tomorrow. You would
never get a chance to say the things you always meant to say. I am
not
trying to be depressing. This is just meant as a wakeup call to
people. Why not do the things you want to do right now instead of
putting it off until a tomorrow that never comes. Say all the things
you always wanted to say. Live each day to the fullest. Treat every
person as your neighbor whether they are black, white, or green.
Since this is a TF group here are some TF related questions for you.
How many times have you donated to a good cause instead of bought
more
TF toys/comics/DVDS. How often do you volunteer your time helping the
less fortunate instead of wasting gas shopping for the lastest new
figures. When you see a car accident or someone who's car is stalled,
how often do you stop and ask if they need help instead of just
driving on bye.
Believe it or not, you can find alot of fulfillment in helping other
people. Alot of people search for happiness in different ways. Some
turn to drugs or booze while others find pleasure in food or sex. Our
bodies are conditioned to find gratification in things that help our
species survive, but these are just short term feelings. I know what
it is like to want to just dissappear into a book or a show because
real life is too much to handle. Maybe some of you feel like TFs is a
good escape from reality. From a psychological standpoint you are
seeking that thrill of discovery when you find a new figure, but that
will diminish and you will have to buy more and more to get the same
level of endorphins. To be truely happy over the long term you need
to
give freely of your time and resources and learn to help your fellow
men/women.
Those are my feelings on the issue, please post your views and keep
it
civil, remember we are all children under the same stars."
