I know that this place is as dead as Hotblack Desiato now, but still...

I thought I'd pop in just to commemorate that I've now spent 42 years on
this mostly harmless planet, give or take the odd leap second.

That'll be all for now, other than to say "Hi!" to Wonko if he's watching.

I haven't seen any tax benefits to this deadness yet. Is it only after
a resurrection that they show up? I hear it's the time of year for that
too...

It's a wonderful thing! :D

You could join back in on the Froup production of Fit the Sixth, which
still idles along intermittently, mostly performed by whoever wanders in
off the street at the time...

I have vague memories of finding some broken links on the afda pages
(maybe in the FAQ?) and going to ask you about them. I never got around
to that. Was there a new FAQ system in the works?

Dead? No, we have but slept... through the economic recession you see.

Well I'm a little unclear on the mechanics of that...

I could! I did!
What's the predicted date for completing Fit the Sixth now?
Will we manage it before the sun collapses into a red giant?

To be honest I'm surprised any of it still functions!
I don't appear to have any analytics on the site, so I have no idea if
anyone even visits it anymore...

Apparently it has something to do with the consumption of chocolate
bunnies? :D

In a purely linear perspective... we're just almost at the halfway point
of the episode, and it's been, uh... a decade...

hah fair enough. The mfaq is the target of a link from
douglasadams.com, and the FAQ is failing (the "One dirty mirror" as
linked on https://www.zootle.net/afda/faq.shtml ) ...but I either
worked out what URL it's genuinely on, or got a copy from elsewhere,
because I also created a dirty mirror of it at http://sub-ethr.net/afda/

Plans of updating it are so far on the backburner as to be nonexistent,
and fandom covers a lot of this stuff elsewhere now anyway (though not
in quite so usefully a central resource)

hmmm..... thinking hat is on again! :)

Ah, okay. There appears to be some kind of unfinished attempt to convert
the FAQ into a wiki. I've disabled that, which I think has restored the
FAQ to its, er, former glory(?!)

My wiki plan seems to be so far onto said backburner that it's just passed
the 10th annivesary of working on it...

Yes, that's me, I used to be on the Christmas list.
It's nice to see this place hasn't completely faded away!

Although a bit late, but:

Happy fortytwo years on this mostly harmless planet!

Huzzah! I will continue to sometimes point to it.

I think the last one was a few years ago. I might still have some in my
queue to send... oops
