Yes, that's right. Forty-two was finally back on BBC Radio Four where
it belongs.

On "The Puzzle Panel" yesterday (Thursday) one of the puzzles was what
numbers come next in this sequence:-

2, 4, 6, 30, 32, 34, 36...?

Forty-two was one of the numbers. The panel failed to get the right
answer. I couldn't solve it either, but I never could get the hang of
Thursdays.

If you want to have a go at guessing the full sequence, I'll post the
correct answer in a few days.

I'm gonna have a go...

no not 1174908...

erm 30-6=24
6x4=24

no that doesn't help. So 42 was in there, right lets see if that helps...

2,4,6,30,32,34,36
/\/\/\/\\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
+2 +24 +2

Could be 1224+36 = 1260,1262,1264,1266,1268

erm no 42 there.

Okay I give up tell us.

I meant to listen to the re-run on Sunday but I fell asleep!
_Of course_ I solved the puzzle immediately, but just in case anyone out
there is still struggling could you please, erm, TELL US THE ANSWER.
Thanks :-)
