NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
While I'd be the first to admit not *all* your posts should see light
of day, that's no reason to stop posting all together, anyway for some
reason I don't seem to get all your posts so what do I care? ;o)
Please let us know who the idiot who mailed you is so we can sit on

I've decided not to leave on a permanent basis because I'm not going to let
the person that e-mailed me get to me, I'm going to be posting a bit less
though 'cause I want to get my site totally re-designed for this weekend,
with all the pictures working.
BTW if the person does post to this thread that e-mailed me that certain
message then I won't be able to read your reply, you've been added to my
Kill file, I don't want to argue, I'm here 'cause I like this group not to
start an arguement with you. That's all.
Erm... Did I miss something? Are you being annoyed by anyone? C'mon, tell us

Does that mean you are not here any longer? Kie? Kie? Where did you
go? Come back!

Fabulous! Where did you get them from? Do you have to pay? Am I going

i found them somewhere 'round a corner in the net. dark guy with a gun
watched out for the netpolice while the dealer downloaded the file.
it's sort of illegal, you know :-).
but since i _have_ all the books (and i did even pay for them), and i
bought them a second time for my mom (and i did pay those as well) and
i reallyreally wanted to have them as text files for search, copy and
paste i switched off my moral chip for a while and got them.
anyway i'm wondering who would go through all the trouble of
installing latex and a dvi-viewer just to be able to read the guide on
a computer. i can't even read my own program files on a computer but
rather print them on paper to see what has to be done.
(as for this: yeah, you can install ghostscript, too, and print the
guide. but who would like to have the guide on hundreds of loose
sheets?)
hee, i forgot the url.

I thought it was a hhgg quote. Wasn't it something Old Thrashbarg (or
whatever his name is) said? Someone who is more sure of this than me,
please confirm or deny my statement.

I remember it as being from this froup... I don't know who said it and to
whom it was said, but I (think) it /definetely/ (maybe) was from here. Yup.
But it must be to someone who went away. Probably. Yes. Indeed. Maybe. I'll
better go watch "America 3000" now. A grade "A" movie, indeed! If anyone
else have seen it, we have something to share. Hmm?

It's from "Mostly Harmless."
`O Sandwich Maker from Bob!' he [Old Thrashbarg] pronounced. He paused,
furrowed his brow, and sighed as he closed his eyes in pious
contemplation. `Life,' he said, `will be a very great deal less
weird without you!'
Arthur was stunned.
`Do you know,' he said, `I think that's the nicest thing any-

Still catching up, so if someone hasn't already, I hereby confirm that
this is indeed something that Old Thrashbarg said to Arthur Dent as he
was leaving the remote and Bob-fearing planet (forgot it's name, but
it's all in the fifth book). Arthur was stunned, and said it was "the
nicest thing anybody's ever said to him." *chuckle*

Actually, I think *Greg* said it (to *me*), when I said I'd be away for a
few days. However, I now am positive that it was orgiginally from HHGG, MH
specifically. It was, indeed, Old Thrashbarg. The quote is actually in
someone's sig.
(it was about "Life will be considerably less weird without you")

Well of course I said it, I am the quote master! ;-) The good quotes in MH are
all very good, like the one below of Arthur telling off Ford. Everyone who
hates MH should try reading it again.

I agree! It's a really great read. That quote you have there made me
laugh out loud for literally minutes, and was single-handedly
responsible for me spitting soda pop all over my mother-in-law's sweater
(too bad she wasn't wearing it at the time, hahaha).

Hey, you're paraphrasing another of my .sig quotes:
CrazyOne <---
--
"If I had one Altairian dollar for every time I heard one bit of the Universe
look at another bit of the Universe and say 'That's terrible' I wouldn't be
sitting here like a lemon looking for a gin." craz...@SPAMXcity-net.com
Am I? <glances around> Why, so I am. Great quote, isn't it? I liked
the ending part of it, the "...but I haven't and I am" part, but putting
the whole thing was so long I decided to cut it down and paraphrase it a
bit.
--
Oh, yeah, I'm not going to argue about who should or shouldn't use it. I
actually like the part about one bit of the Universe looking at another bit of
the Universe and saying "That's terrible".
Excellent! Then we'll tag-team the sig-quote. :^)
> "If I had one Altairian dollar for every time I heard one bit of the Universe
> look at another bit of the Universe and say 'That's terrible' I wouldn't be
> sitting here like a lemon looking for a gin."
"...but I haven't, and I am."
