I've heard him a few times doing news in the afternoon. He doesn't say his name in the super slow way he did at WABC but still says No-wam.

Good, that was one of my predictions where he'd
wind up.

He was the news director for the station the last year or two at WABC. Not sure who that reports to.

Oh. Because it seems he left not long after the
Cowboy Hat. I thought Laden might have been
drawing from him!

Noam had been announced as part of the Sid & Bernie show but before it started Juliet was hired to do the news and Noam was let go from WABC.

Speaking of WOR, they had an old guy doing the news a year or two ago on the weekend. During one news segment he said "Breaking news. Farrah Fawcett has died." This was about 7 or 8 years after she had actually died. After a commercial he came back on the air and repeated that she had died and had been battling cancer. Somebody in the newsroom must have been playing a joke on him and knew he was too ignorant or dumb to catch it and would just read it. I can't think of any other reason how that would get into a newscast.

Part of the fun of radio. They are not totally scripted for everything
they say and don't have an army of people in the background
participating. You hear errors and jokes played on them all the time.
Usually the better people move on to higher paying jobs in TV.

I believe it was the station directly, he definitely didnt work for Imus.
He tried out for McShanes job, but Imus passed on him. He went on to say Imus' show sucked and was persona non grata then on.

Mac JT:

So pretty much he shat where he ate.
I held Laden a higher standard than
that.

That was a joke.

Imus always prefers getting very angry to anything
else.
