Yes, the striking resemblance between Alexander Siddig (or whatever
he's calling himself these days) and James Callis has been noted many
times. They often even get mistaken for each other at conventions. The
fact that they both worked for Ron Moore at some point led some
(including myself) to speculate that Moore may have originally
intended to have Siddig play Baltar in BSG, but cast a look-a-like
when he couldn't get him (for whatever reason). Several other DS9 and
Trek regulars went on to appear on BSG, incidentally (incl. Siddig's
own ex-wife, Nana Visitor).

Whatever the reason behind it, there is no way it was just a
coincidence (like Ron Moore of all people didn't notice?).

The resemblance was so striking that it wasn't until I looked at the
end credits of the BSG mini-series that I realized Baltar WASN'T
played by Siddig.

Maybe it's because I key in more on voice than appearance, but I never
thought it was Siddig. His voice resonates less than Callis.

*now* - that 'news' is nearly 5-6 years old.

You're a mighty good cretin -- Sid's about as 'muslim' as I am 'christian'.

I would suggest that you actually perform a minimum of research on
people, before shooting your dirty mouth off about them - particularly
if it is riddled with ignorance and stupidity.

And, just for the record, I hold no love for mulsim or their dumb religion.

The reason why their relationship broken apart is for the oldest of
reasons -- infidelity.

I guess based on shempo's polite outburst, which followed his racist
spoutings, we can assume that he's got a wounded nerve to tend to.

Thanks, you pretty much validated my earlier comment about you.

Yeah, I guess you also believe that Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim --
I mean, after all, that's his name, so he *must* be, according to your
logic.

We aren't discussing his name, but his alleged Muslim fanaticism and
mistreatment of women - though, nice effort at distracting the argument.

I guess being a personal friend of his definitely makes me an
uninformed idiot. Seeing as how you got all your valuable information
from teh internetz, I guess you are Teh Rulerz...

Sorry, I've known Sid since around 1996, and he is none of the things
you make him out to be, in your short-sighted blunders of racial hate.

Ah, these reactionary outbursts of pure, unfethered envy make it all
worthwhile.
