Well it took me quite some time due to computer problems, but I've finished
coloring the first of my version of the Ranger Kids. You can find Dani, the
daughter of Dale and Foxglove at my FTP site

members.aol.com/bflighty
under the directory Rescue_Rangers
filename: afdani01.gif

As always, comments are welcome.
Enjoy.

Very, very cute, Bryan. Quite possibly the cutest "RR kiddie" pic i've seen so
far. :) Dani's adorable! :)

Very nice, bflighty. Do you intend to draw Chip and Gadget's children as well?

Thanks, I really do like the way her colors came out on this one.

What I forgot to mention is she's around 7 or 8 in this pic.

I've already gotten them drawn and I'm starting coloring them this morning.
You should be able to see them by Wednesday.

I agree with Natasha. Both of the pictures are great, and Dani is
unquestionably darling. Fan fiction writers, however, name the twins Jennifer
and Geegaw (after Gadget's late father) and Dani Magnolia (Maggie for short).

Now that we know what the kids look like, how would you describe their
personalities?

Once again, Bflighty, they are great pictures, especially the one of that
adorable Dani.

Of course that's the advantage of having not read those, I get to make up my
own names without interference. :)

>Now that we know what the kids look like, how would you describe their
>personalities?

I wrote this up for annother who asked and passed it on to Natasha as well:

Well I was figuring Kimmy is the leader, she takes more after her father and
thinks things through. But due to her age she has the mischevious Chip traits
from the shorts. She loves mysteries and challenges, but that doesn't stop her
from playing with the other kids and goofing off every now and then.

Nate is the techie, taking after his mom. He's a little more "empathic" than
his sister and shares her love for mischief, but can be quite obsessive about
all things scientific and technical. He's less independent than Kimmy and
likes spending more time with the parents, and does little without the other
members of "the trio." He and Dani are probably best friends

Dani is fun loving, out going, loud, caring and playfull (kinda a combination
of the best and worst traits of both her parents). She's a little on the clumsy
side and loves to goof off, but with her mother's emotional out-goingness she
doesn't like to let others down. She loves sports and, like Dale, excells at
them. She's also a wonderful flier, 'cept for those moments of clumsyness.
She shares the mischievious streak with the others.

>Once again, Bflighty, they are great pictures, especially the one of that
>adorable Dani.

As I said before, I think she's my fave too. :)

Thanks, Tash. I think Dani is my favorite as well. She's just soooo cute! :)

Now I just need to round out their group of friends, like with that falcon I
was talking to you about, I just need to find a name for him.

We have seen pictures of the Ranger Kiddies as children and teenagers. Why not
draw pictures of them as babies in their parents' arms?

In the future I will. Right now I'm designing a new friend and then I'm
getting to their babysitter.

She's definately not perfect, but I'll doing some things as I age her that will
hopefully make her work better.

We have? I thought all the pics of their kids that have been drawn so far have
been them as children. I haven't seen any yet that really looked like they were
teenagers, although i'd like to! :)

<<Why not draw pictures of them as babies in their parents' arms?>>

Very good idea! :)

I thought that Tammy would be their babysitter.

DAFT has pictures of them as teenagers in their May 10, 1998 link.

Nah, Tammy was too easy, and not weird enough for my tastes. :) Besides, I've
got her joining the Rangers and spending most of her time with them (sure,
she'll still probably sit for them from time to time). And Bink is still a
little young to be baby sitting these hyperactive kiddies. Besides, I'll
probably have Binky playing the "Monty" role (older, bigger, stronger) with the
youngsters. Afterall, I do expect these kids to take after their parents and
do the adventuring thing.

How old do you plan to make Bink and Tammy at the time?

What other new Rangers do you plan to have?

Who will play the "Zipper" role?

Yes, I think you've all been ignoring little Zipper, what about him in all
this? Isn't he in love with a bee Queen? and Monty, what about his future?

Ditto for me. What about Zipper?

<< Isn't he in love with a bee Queen?>>

Yep. Queenie's her name. (How orginal, eh? :) From the episode "Risky
Beesness."

<<and Monty, what about his future?>>

Yeah. He'll be fairly old by then, i'd say maybe about his late 50's or early
60's!

>How old do you plan to make Bink and Tammy at the time?

I'm figuring that Tamy was around 14 when Nate and Kimmy were born so she'll be
23 when they're 9 (the age I'm using them at). Bink was about 3 or 4 so she'd
be 12 or 13.

>What other new Rangers do you plan to have?

I'm definately going to have a falcon in the younger group, he'll be playing
the role of of the Ranger Plane/Wing, since the kids are too young to fly their
own aircraft (or so the parents say). I haven't decided upon a name yet, but
the name Ranger keeps coming back to me. Nate will construct a howda/cockpit
that he wears upon his back to carry the kids in. It will be able to carry 4
kids (with a 5th of zipper size), and become one or more gliders or powered
aircraft for special occasions/emergencies. I'm also leaning towards the kids
keeping him a secret because they fear their parents won't let them be friends
with a preadotor like him.

>Who will play the "Zipper" role?

I really haven't decied yet, I was thinking of either Zipper and Queenie's
offspring or a small bird of some sort (Natasha suggested Midge and
Chirp-sing's offspring)

Well, lass, you can check on my last reply for Zipper, and I'm really just not
sure about Monty at this time. He really needs a nice girlfriend who won't use
him in nefarious criminal plots before he can have a desendent. Although I did
think about having a nephew or niece of his in the role I'm giving to Bink.

His role with the kids I've already designed he'll be playing the "older uncle"
or "grandfather" role.

Yeah, he'll be getting pretty close to the age where he starts to slow down.

How a bout a humming bird? They're small and fast. His speed could also
influence other parts of his character. He could talk a mile a minute and have an attention span of just a few minutes.

They can always use Professor Nimnul's gigantical ray to make Dani big enough
to carry them all. Besides, if Nate is anything like his mother at all, he can
build them their own flying machine.

True, but he'd really need his mother's workshop to build it and store it, I
was saying earlier that their parents wouldn't allow the kids to fly at their
current age (besides Dani, that is) so the falcon has a place.

I don't know about that name, I was thinking about more mythilogical ones, like
Hermes, of late.

Well of course the parents will find out sooner or later and will let him stay
after all the good things he's helped the kids do, and how often he's backed
them up and saved their lives. But I'm sure the parentals will be quite angry
with the kids for going out adventuring against their wishes.
