I've got some sad news for all you duck fans out there! I've got word that
there will probubly be no new season for the mighty ducks cartoon! It
seems the Disney ppl don't really support the show, even though everything
is going great for it! Good reviews and ratings, and even action figures
are selling like hot cakes! I still can't believe what those Disney people
are thinking. My friends and I are going to try as hard as we can to keep
Mighty Ducks going for more than a season and if anyone wants to help.
Contact me or Zelda. We have to prove to Disney that this is a show worth
saving! Now who's with me?

"No one's come to our rescue! Our ratings must really stink!"
"Well, it looks like we're about to be cancelled..."

Don't say that guys!! You're rating are great! We'll rescue you!

Well, this is pretty much the same thing that's happening with Gargoyles. A
lot of people like the show, except the guys at Disney. But someday,
Gargoyles (and the Ducks) will come back, I hope. It will take an enormous
amount of fans to do it though.

"Red Claw" responded to a post entitled "Mighty Ducks Cartoon...
Gone?!?!", which doesn't appear to have made it to this offramp of the
Information Interstate. (Not that such a thing hasn't happened before.)

Could the person(s) responsible for the original post please re-post any
information that they may have about the "disappearance" of "Mighty
Ducks"? Is the series being cancelled in mid-season, as was "Gargoyles,"
or has a fall cancellation been announced?

Huh? What happened to "Gargoyles"? What are ya talkin about? What's
going on? AAAAAAAH!

(Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while.)

Have even the reruns been cancelled before this season is over? Geez!
Please help me out here!

It seems that Disney is canceling our beloved Gargoyles. No more episodes
are being made, which goes for the original Gargoyles and The Goliath
Chronicles. I'm not sure, but the reruns should show until the next season.
There are quite a few websites out there with more info than I have. Be
sure to visit.

OK, just so you know, there are 3 seasons... with two crews. One for the
first 2 seasons and a second one (conspicuously minus Greg Weisman the
show's creator and several of the original team) did the third season.
The third season was called "Gargoyles: the Goliath Chronicles" and was
not even animated by the normal Disney farm-out houses. (Nelvana did
TGC) It came on Saturdays while the first two seasons went into
syndication weekdays. (Greg Weisman and alot of the original first 2
seasons team are now working at Dreamworks by the way... NOT Disney...
although Weisman is working on the Live Action Gargoyles Movie that is
still in its tentative-early stages with producer Dean Devlin (ie
Independance Day))
OK, now that I've got that finished with. Gargoyles, the Goliath
Chronicles has been replaced after only rerunning about 2 or 3 times (it
only has 13 eps) with Duck Tales in most areas, mid-season. AND next
year neither (first 2 seasons or the 3rd) are showed as returning,
although there is some chance that they may continue in syndication.
Disney seems to be taking a new approach to the Disney Afternoon on a
whole... with shows like Pippi (catch me if I'm wrong here) and 101
Dalmations. Personally, I think its a mistake to drop a decidedly
different show like Gargoyles and move backwards as it were, to more
"small-kids" orientated shows. (not that I don't enjoy them, but after
showing such striking animation leaps with Gargoyles, why not continue
in that direction with at least one show even if its not Gargoyles)
Hope that helps! and you may want to check out my pal Gorebash's
website. Greg Weisman has his own comment board there, where he will
answer your questions on the series (really mostly the first 2 since he
was not directly part of the 3rd TGC)

That'll keep you busy for a while! *smirks*
Hey and when you're done you could check out my Gargoyles art (if you'd
be so kind! ;)

:) See ya round fellow addicts!

I knew all the other stuff you said already, but this was news to me.
DuckTales, eh? How strange. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.
