SO! This weekend I was at the Twin Peaks festival in Seattle and ended
up sitting next to Kimmy Robertson. She played Lucy Moran, the
helium-voiced receptionist at the Sheriff's station. (foto link to
follow, I hope.)

AND! I brought up how I'd heard that she'd dated David Duchovny, and I
wondered if that's how he ended up on the show? She was reluctant to
take credit for that. She said she'd given his photo to the casting
director, Johanna Ray, and told her that he was a good actor, but he did
the audition by himself and got hired. (This was *years* before his big
break on the X-Files, remember.)

LATER! Whilst enumerating other previous boyfriends, Kimmy listed ...
Jim Mothersbaugh. "I seem to recall that he worked for Roland," I said.
"Yes he did, and I got him the job!" Kimmy shot back. "Well! You won't
take credit for getting Duchovny onto Twin Peaks but you *will* take
credit for getting Jim the Roland job?" "I worked really hard on that,"
she said.

I wanted to press for details but, oddly enough, there were OTHER fans
trying to ask her stuff TOO! Bastards.

I don't know if Kimmy really dated Jim and got him the job or not. I'm
just reporting what I heard. Over and out.
