Looks like the default for By Date search results for the Usenet part of
Google Groups and some type of search criteria is from the earliest to the
latest posts in chronological order (not from the latest to earliest in
reverse chronological order).

Also looks like the Google Groups search algorithm still favors disparaging
or embarrassing posts over those that are more useful. Furthermore, it
appears still appears that posts originally X-No-Archived in DejaNews are
still reappearing in Google Groups.

Finally, it appears that ANY relevant forum has been indexed into the Google
Groups search, not just Usenet. This includes any forum including but not
limited to vBulletin or PHPBB or Invision power board based forums.
Therefore, the lines of what is a Usenet newsgroup, which is an actual
Google Group, and which is a forum have been all mixed together into the
Google Groups discussions search until the link is actually clicked.
