John Mellencamp has made a career out of quotes that land him back in
the news. On Tuesday, he said some things that returned his name to the
headlines - eventally declaring that the Internet is as dangerous as the
Atomic Bomb, and will likely ruin the music industry entirely.
During a public seminar at the Grammy Museum, Mellencamp who is now 58,
told attendees of the seminar that Internet could be a useful tool on
personal levels and when used for communication, but worried about the
dangers to the music industry. "I think the Internet is the most
dangerous thing invented since the atomic bomb," he said. "It's
destroyed the music business. It's going to destroy the movie business."
