Debbie Gibson's rise to the top of the pop music world has been nothing
short of spectacular: With such top-five singles as Only in My Dreams, Shake
Your Love, Out of the Blue, and the number one ballad Foolish Beat, her
triple-platinum debut album, OUT OF THE BLUE, catapulted her to the forefront

In January 1989, Debbie topped the overwhelming sucees of OUT OF THE BLUE
with her second album ELECTRIC YOUTH. In less than four months, EY has nearly
surpassed the total sales of the first album.

On March 4, 1989, Lost in Your Eyes, EY's debut single reached the coveted
number one spot on Billboard magazine's Hot 100 chart -- a position it held for
three weeks. One week into the single's reign at the top spot, the EY album
reached number one on the Billboard album chart -- making Debbie the first
teenager to hold the magazine's two most prestigious positions simultaneously
since Little Stevie Wonder topped the charts more than 25 years ago.

ELECTRIC YOUTH has also allowed Debbie to flourish as a musician. While
OUT OF THE BLUE was characterized mostly by lively dance/pop tunes, in ELECTRIC
YOUTH Debbie shows a

variety of styles -- from the brooding Shades of the Past and No More Rhyme to
the up-beat Electric Youth and We Could Be Together.

While the latter songs pick up the pace of the album, they do not diminish
its content. Each piece is an anthem to power individuals, especially young
people, to take an active role in their own lives and in changing the world
aroudn them. As Debbie put it in Electric Youth, The future belongs to the
future itself...and the future is ELECTRIC YOUTH.

The EY album also gave Debbie the chance to continue work with producer
Fred Zarr -- who produced many of the cuts off of OUT OF THE BLUE. In
addition, it has allowed Debbie to increase her solo production work. She
produced six of the songs on EY alone.

Debbie's recent work has brought her critical acclaim. So far in 1989,
she has been honored with a nomination for an American Music Award (Best Female
Artist), 4 New York Music Awards (including a special award from New York
Radio), Kidschoice's Best Female Artist of the Year and the ASCAP songwriter
of the year award. She is only the second female artist to be voted number
one by this respected association of songwriters.

Debbie's astounding success comes as no surprise for people who met the
Brooklyn-born singer as she grew up on suburban Long Island. Having

played piano since age four; Debbie was a veteran by the time she won her
first competition at age six.

She spent the next eight years acting in television commercials, writing
music and honing her performing skills. When she was thirteen her family
converted their garage into a four-track recording studio. Here, she began
to learn the technical side of the recording industry. At age sixteen, after
mailing countless demo tapes and going on endless auditions, Debbie was
offered a chance to record a single with Atlantic records. If that song were
to become a hit, she would have the chance to record a whole album. The single
turned out to be Only in My Dreams. It was; she did.

After the international ELECTRIC YOUTH tour, Debbie plans to set her
sights on some new goals. Producing and writing for other artists is high on
her list of priorities. She also plans to begin filming her first movie in
the Spring of 1990. Debbei is no stranger to film work -- more than half a
dozen videos prove this -- but, starring in a feature film will be a unique
challenge for her.

For Debbie Gibson, the future is sure to be an exciting mix of performing
and behind the scenes work in all facets of the entertainment industry. The
future is bright. The future is up-beat. The future is ELECTRIC YOUTH.
