ok , bit of a crap one today but I've gotta belly fulla beershitz and am
acheing for some downtime...We all know that bowieez version of my death is
wunderbar...what I'd like to know is
a:) did he ever record it in the studio? (and obviously where can I get it*
, that rules out the one word answers that some of you like to give ..naming
no names (a-hem 'The lodger')
b:) Where can I get the original ...I think it's a brel track ain't it? *

I wonder about that.
I have never read anywhere that it was recorded in a studio
during any of the sessions. It may never have been and it
would not be the first time.

"Wunderbar" is German and means wonderful/marvelous. And I just started
to think the "wunderbar" is just one of those German words that made it
into the English language (like Kindergarten, Poltergeist, Hinterland
etc.), but according to your question it probably isn't.

I have no idea about "beershitz" though.

No studio version could ever top the apocalyptic Ziggy movie version, capped
off with the surprise audience participation at the end.

I think that's matter of taste - but Bowie is really better.
Nevertheless I wouldn't appreciate word "suck" - vocal is sth scaring...
