Do y'all remember back when people were asking about "checking the PA" in
methamphetemine manufacture? Someone suggested that PA was lead acetate, but
the idea was shot down.

Actually, it is lead acetate. So why is lead acetate abbreviated PA?

It stands for either plumbous acetate ( Pb2(C2H3O2)2 ) or plumbic acetate (
Pb(C2H3O2)2 ) The old name for lead was plumbum. Now, they are referred to
as lead I acetate and lead II acetate respectively. The old testing devices,
maybe even some of the newer ones would still list it as plumbic/plumbous
acetate or PA.

For the record, I stopped wondering about this some time ago.

A word of warning: Get your @ss out of that intersection. WTF, are you supposed
to be some sort of DISPLAY? Sheesh. It's gotta be enough of a pain just to wait
for the traffic light to turn GREEN for the road your on, after waiting through
all the other light cycles.Gonna be some pissed-off motorists, bub, the likes
of who'd run down the live incarnation of Big Boy himself if he sauntered out
there.

Or, maybe not. I wouldn't chance it myself.
