Filed our taxes 01-24, got our refund today. When did the IRS get
efficient?

I've read that a lot of people who filed on 1/24 already received
their refund, as you did. The simpler the return, the faster the IRS
is able to process it. The more credits claimed, the longer it might
take to receive a refund.

My guess is that many didn't get the memo that you can file early.
Also, some companies are slow with sending W2's. I was ready to file on
Feb 1st, but my HR Block software indicated an update necessary to file
on Feb 3rd, so I waited, updated, and submitted on the third. I'm
hoping that I'll get mine reasonably soon as well, property tax is due soon!

Yep. I'd wager that if you filed on April 15th, you'd find that IRS wasn't
quite as effcient.

Well yes, that too, but I meant that instead of the normal Feb 12 (or
whatever), filing was available early this year, starting January 24th.
