What's the big deal with this picture?

Was this what was considered hot back in the day?

I don't know what you mean by a hot movie. And why do you think it was
a big deal; it was not even a box-office success. It was interesting
because it was a story about people that most are not familiar with,
an ex-con and a call girl, and how they operate in the call-girl
business. Michael Caine is interesting to watch as the evil vice-boss,
another character that most people are not familar with.

pshurely there's other movies to talk about. We've had a spate of "The
Martian"; living off potatoes and listening to crappy disco music. Very
poor Nasa backup planning.

Not so sure of the relevance. Maybe you could help me launder some money?

Was Mona Lisa considered hot when Da Vinci painted her?

Maybe. It is said to be a painting of Lisa Gherardini, but nobody
knows for sure. And I read somewhere that the enigmatic smile is
actually showing a swelling of the face due to an abscessed tooth.
Others have said Mona Lisa's mysterious smile was caused by an
under-active thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism can cause swollen hands,
thinning hair and a lump in the neck, all visible in the portrait,
according to researchers.

I've also heard speculation, I don't know how serious, that it was a
self-portrait of Leonard as if he had had an innie rather than an outie.

Saturday, Xho Jingleheimerschmidt murmurred ...
Would his student's version of the picture have reflected that?

Here's an interesting factoid for this art salon:
"In his own time he was known just as Leonardo or as 'Il Florentine'
since he lived near Florence—and was famed as an artist, inventor and
thinker.". - History.com
