YES. He also starred in a film called SAMMY GOING SOUTH (1962) and then on
the British stage at the Mermaid Theatre in two Christmas productions of
TREASURE ISLAND with Spike Milligan. Fergus is the son of actor ALAN
McCLELLAND.
No further details - Fergus seems to have disappeared from the acting scene-
a casualty of transition from child to adult actor?

Born 10 September 1950 (Hampstead, London)

Son of Irish actor Allan McClelland.

Filmography :

Sammy Going South (1963)

The Pumpkin Eater (1964)

Worked with the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company) and much TV work
following these movies.

Abandoned acting after marginal stage roles, Press for Time (1966)
and Goodbye, Mr Chips (1969).

Interested in music, ancient religions, which he supports by work
in electronics. Reported to be writing a novel on an Old Testament
subject.

just to be annoyingly pedantic, 'Sammy going south' & 'A boy ten feet
tall' are actually the same film; co-stars Edward G Robinson, directed by
the wonderful Alexander MacKendrick with McClelland as the little boy who
travels alone from north to south Africa.
