It was shown several weeks ago on British TV in anamorphic widescreen,
so I did a new recording of it, and when I got around to watching the
tape I noticed from the end credits that Sara Stockbridge was in it.
This was strange, since she's quite well known here for various films
and TV shows, (especially "Glam Metal Detectives", or you might recall
seeing her as Melinda in "Bridget Jones's Diary"), and yet I could not
remember seeing her anywhere in the movie.
The end credits list the cast in order of appearance, as follows..
Louis ..................... Brad Pitt
Malloy .................... Christian Slater
Whore on Waterfront ....... Virginia McCollam
Gambler ................... John McConnell
Lestat .................... Tom Cruise
Pimp ...................... Mike Seelig
Tavern Girl ............... Bellina Logan
Yvette .................... Thandie Newton
Widow St.Clair ............ Lyla Hay Owen
Widow's lover ............. Lee Emery
New Orleans Whore ......... Indra Ové
2nd Whore ................. Helen McCrory
Plague Victim Bearer ...... Monte Montague
Claudia ................... Kirsten Dunst
Maid ...................... Nathalie Bloch
Woman in Square ........... Jeanette Kontomitras
Piano Teacher ............. Roger Lloyd-Pack
Dollmaker ................. George Kelly
Creole Woman .............. Nicole Dubois
Santiago .................. Stephen Rea
Armand .................... Antonio Banderas
Paris Vampire ............. Micha Bergese
Paris Vampire ............. Rory Edwards
Paris Vampire ............. Marcel Iures
Paris Vampire (Celeste) ... Susan Lynch
Paris Vampire ............. Louise Salter
Paris Vampire ............. Matthew Sim
Paris Vampire ............. François Testory
Paris Vampire ............. Andrew Tiernan
Paris Vampire ............. Simon Tyrrell
Paris Vampire ............. George Yiasoumi
Estelle ................... Sara Stockbridge
Mortal Woman on Stage ..... Laure Marsac
Woman in Audience ......... Katia Caballero
Mortal Boy (Denis) ........ Louis Lewis-Smith
Madeleine ................. Domiziana Giordano
..and the film follows this until Louis takes Claudia to Paris, where
he meets Santiago (who stands upside-down under the arch of a bridge)
and Armand. Louis & Claudia go to a theatre where a mortal woman is
stripped naked and killed on the stage, much to the appreciation of
a woman in the audience, and finally we meet Denis & Madeleine.
So what of the ten Paris Vampires (one of whom is named Celeste), and
more importantly, where is Estelle, played by Sara Stockbridge? We see
Louis & Claudia mixing with Parisian society, but that was before the
first vampire Santiago, and then Armand invites Louis & Claudia to the
"THEATRE DES VAMPIRES" - and the movie cuts to everyone going inside,
with a voice-over of Louis warning Claudia that Parisian vampires have
different powers, and will read her thoughts if she lets them.
Does that voice-over cover a big section cut out of the movie? Is there
a longer version where Louis & Claudia don't go straight to the theatre
but instead meet another ten vampires & Estelle? Does anyone have a
longer version of the movie that shows all of this?

I haven't seen this movie in a couple of years and the only actors I know
are TC, BP, KD, CS.. so I'm not much help to you at all. I do remember
Claudia and Louis going down some stairs under the theater and meeting all
the Paris Vampires. I don't remember if it's before or after the play. I'm
pretty sure I remember Cleeste and Estelle being down there but I could be
getting the book mixed up with the movie. The book is way better and a LOT
different.
So I'm no help to you what so ever. LOL I do want to see that movie again.
KD does the best acting in that film....in my opinion, anyhooski :) I love
that kid.
You did make the group a little more *insteresting*....as my kid would say.

You should go rent it, babycakes. Or hire it....what ever you people say.
LOL
We love you, you wild and crazy Englishmen.

Yes, in the version I saw, we meet the Paris Vampires in an underground
vault, it's where they imprison Claudia & Madeleine in a well, and the
sunlight destroys them (which is impossible in Paris since it's too far
north) but since the end credits are in order of appearance, the Paris
Vampires must have been seen *before* the play, and that scene has been
cut out - and not be the makers else they'd not be in the end credits.

Well, thanks for trying, sweetcakes. When you get the chance, please do
watch the movie, and tape it, then tell me here & I'll repost the list..

Absolutely - she was a complete knockout, especially as she became the
rapacious vampire that Louis could never be. It's such a shame that she
never made a movie with Portman & Ricci when they were all girls.

Lol, that was my fault for misunderstanding dear Victoria, who was
trying to say that the new group of people in Survivor are boring.

Lol, thankyou my lovely - and guess what, I've moved heaven & earth to

There is a time when they meet the Vampires before they imprison Claudia and
Madeline.
I guess it was cut out of your movie.
And just daylight will destroy a young vampire. It doesn't have be
California sun :)

Well, afbp has been boring but you sparked my interest :)

You made me so happy!!! Tell Are you guys getting last seasons show or this
season?
Tell me which show you saw. I'm so excited, T:) They are the sweetest cutest
babies in the world. I'm in love with them :)

Yes, that must be it.

Oh, it isn't a question of the strength of the sun, but how high it
is the sky. Outside the tropics it's never right overhead (that is
what defines the tropics) so it can't shine very far down a well.

Ta muchly, sweetcakes.

Yay!

Ooh, there's a joke somewhere about the difference between prostitutes
and lawyers, which makes "lawyers" a better example than "secretaries",
(just to make a good saying, I don't mean as people).

It's shown here on a women-only subscription channel, so I had to get
a copy of the show direct from the States, just as a one-off.
> Tell me which show you saw. I'm so excited, T:)
It was 205 "The Ticket", where Greg was annoyed to get a ticket for
running a red light, but the photo shows that it was Jimmy who took
his car. I must say that it wasn't all that funny, but Liza Snyder
was gorgeous as Christine - it's great to see a non-skinny actress.
> They are the sweetest cutest babies in the world.
> I'm in love with them :)
Yes, they are definitely the best thing in the show. In the one I saw,
Kim was getting Sam ready for Halloween, dressing him up as an kittie
cat; but Greg informed his son that he was a stray cat, a tom cat, an
alley cat. The look on the little boy's face was absolutely priceless!

Let me just say, YUCK. It sounds much worse [to me] to say that a fella
"rented" a prostitute than to say he "hired" one.
Goes with the image of use and re-use, I guess.
Which is apt, but still something I didn't want to think about.
LOL
Viki, never rented NOR hired, in your list.

Hehe - Linda suggested lawyers instead of secretaries. :)

Lawyers do it in their briefs. :)
