blame Bush and Cheney for what is going on, where were they when it came
time to serve in Vietnam? They have been in office now for 16 months and
they have done very little to help the men in the military. Now Jan
Scruggs is on the air talking about how Phil Gram has been stopping a bill
for a education center at the Vietnam Veterans Center. He mentioned how
Gram got 6 different deferments during that war and now he has stopped that
project three different times. Gram is a Republican. It is Republicans
that are defeating concurrent receipt and Veterans health issues. Remember
that is the way most cowards that did not go to Vietnam are. Cheney had
just as many deferments and Bush went the way of all rich elite kids. They
too have been blocking health care and Veterans benefits. Now Bush has gone
to trying to get things passed in some form to get votes but then he makes
sure that these things are not funded. That is a lie just as much as any
lie the right wingnuts tried to manufacture with Clinton.
And to the caller that thinks we ought to take out the 7 or 8 countries that
he thinks are against us. Maybe that is how you dealt with problems when
you didn't like people as a kid, but grownups generally are taught to solve
the problems that make men disagree. In Israel they would have no suicide
bombers if there were not being occupied and controlled by the Jews. We
lived in peace with these countries until Reagan opened up the control on
greed in this country. When he took the tax rate at the top from 70% to 28%
he put the burden of our tax structure on the backs of the middle class and
the working poor. Then Reagan opened up the laws that would allow our
Corporations to go overseas to exploit the people of those countries. The
laws were changed to encourage companies to locate in Bermuda to avoid taxes
so the middle class would face the burden. They were encouraged to export
jobs to exploit the workers of the world at the expense of our own citizens.
Now they have made us the most hated country ever. Now Bush is becoming a
joke with his hate mongering cowboy talk. The talk of a child. And then he
stands on foreign soil and tells other countries not to raise up the
rhetoric, when they are doing as he is. That is how a child thinks. He
goes into Afghanistan and bombs the hell out of that country, then wonders
when Israel tries the same thing. How stupid does it get? When are we
going to get this child out of there. It
is long past the need for independent prosecutors on many issues and then
impeachment.
Bush got his pilots license on the military dime, but he was in an elite
unit that was never going to serve overseas and that is why he was there.
That was a guarantee that there would be no going to Vietnam, someone
getting deferments was not guaranteed deferment as much as that. During
the Clinton era more Agent Orange cancers were covered before the Republican
congress came to power. Then it was the Republican congress that allowed
the VA to fight Veterans for these benefits. It is the Republican congress
that does not allow Gulf War veterans to be properly taken care of. How
many serving now will be left behind by the current congress and
Administration if they come down with the mystery illnesses? This VA
continues to fight Veterans for ever dime, just like Phil Gram. And don't
be surprised that Phil Gram is not the major problem. Republicans and Dems
often select someone to block things that don't have to stand for
re-election. If Gram is blocking this education center and other things,
it is for the Republicans that only spend money for the Ultra Rich and
ignore money for soldiers and Veterans.

Gary Lantz - Find two non-voters now and make plans to take them to the
polls with you. If you and they vote for non-incumbents, we will end up
throwing all the crooks out. You are wasting your vote with the current
losers.
