Barry is Back! Performances of Manilow on Broadway Expected to Resume on January 23
Music legend Barry Manilow has been given the go-ahead by doctors to resume performances of Manilow on Broadway, after cancelling the January 22 performance due to bronchitis. The cancelled show has been rescheduled for February 26, and the concert series is still set to officially open on January 24. The concert engagement will play through February 23 at the St. James Theatre, with the rescheduled concert to follow three days later.
Manilow (a.k.a. “The Man Who Makes the Whole World Sing”) earned a 1977 Special Tony Award for his Broadway show, Barry Manilow on Broadway. The Grammy winner’s pop hits include “Could It Be Magic,” “Mandy,” “Copacabana” and “Can’t Smile Without You.” He has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and has had 49 Top 40 hits.
Although critics had been invited to the January 23 preview performance, press tickets have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
Manilow must be glad to greet his eager fans once again, so watch him sing "Can't Smile Without You" below!
