. Give a girl a pair of shades and sit her in front of Denise Mclean and her
wish is your command. A.J smiled remembering the look on her face as Brian
took her to the stairs. He shook his head trying to think about something
else.
"He needs time Nick."
Kevin silently got up as Fatima's embrace took over from his. He walked to
the door and left the silent, small room.

**************Part 39*************************
Brian shoved his hands in his pockets and hunched his shoulders as the rain
attacked his thin T-shirt. He walked out onto the flat hospital roof as his
mind went back to the Spanish night.
He couldn't remember the gentle heat. He couldn't remember the sound of the
crickets in the trees. He couldn't remember the thousand stars twinkling in
the dark sky. All he could remember was K. The way she looked, the way she
moved, the way she smelt as he lightly kissed the back of her neck, gently
brushing away her long, sensuous hair.
Brian let out a dis - jointed sigh and sat down on a wet stone block.
They lay together under the blanket, below the stars. Brian loved the feel
of her body against his. She gently traced a path from his belly button to
the top of his chest, sending electric charges through his body. He slowly
fiddled with her hair.
"Do you ever think that there is someone watching us from up there?" K asked
"It's so beautiful and vast that I can't believe it is only us."
"No, I think someone is watching us and looking after us from in here."
Brian gently touched her heart.
She gently took hold of his hand and kissed his fingertips. He gentle ran
his fingertips over her lips. K closed her eyes and felt her lips go tingly
as Brian traced over her. He lightly kissed her fluttering eyelids. A smile
escaped and she opened her eyes to lock into his gaze. He nestled his
forehead against hers and kissed the tip of her nose. K grinned and gently
kissed his lips. He kissed back and the kiss slowly became more intense as
he placed his hand on her bare shoulder and pressed his body against hers.
Brian buried his head in his hands and longed for her. He longed to be near
her, he longed to feel her once more. He felt so alone without her. He
needed her. The rain was sinking into his skin, but it didn't matter. He
couldn't feel it.
**
Kevin opened the hospital chapel door. The room was quiet , there were two
bouquets of beautiful flowers either side of a table which had a maroon
sheet draped over it. There was a tall candle in the middle which was
surround by different sized candles. Kevin starred at the flickering flames
which seemed to give some kind of peace. He turned around to find a place to
sit and think. He was not surprised to see Brian sitting at the back of the
neatly laid out chairs. He had his shoulders hunched and he looked like he
had been outside because he was soaking wet. His elbows were resting on his
open knees and he had a necklace in his hands.
Kevin quietly walked over and sat next to him. They sat together in silence
aware of the comfort of each other's company.
"Where is he Kevin?" Brian asked not taking his eyes off his cross which he
had taken from his neck.
"Who?"
"God. Where is he? He is letting this happen to her. Why?"
Kevin fiddled with his fingers contemplating the best answer.
"No one can answer that Brian. But you have to trust in him. He is with you.
He is with all of us. In here." Kevin placed his hand on his heart.
"Is he with K?" Brian wanted to be reassured.
Kevin smiled seeing his little cousin talk.
"Have you heard the footsteps story?"
Brian didn't answer.
"One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with
the lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he
noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the
other to the lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along
the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed
that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. So he
questioned the Lord. 'Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'
d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't
understand why I needed you most you would leave me.'
The Lord replied, 'My precious, child, I love you and I would never leave
you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of
footprints, it was then that I carried you.'
He's carrying her Brian, just as he's carrying you."
Brian nodded and looked up at his cousin. "Yeah" he shakily confirmed.
Kevin put an arm round him. "She'll get through this. We'll all get through
this."
"Just don't drop her." Brian whispered under his breath.

In my Religious studies lesson at school. I just think it is beautiful, even
though I am not a religious person myself.

That was wonderful! But you know, even the boys themselves want to know what
happens next.

By the way, did you notice it says 10 moths? We've got insects!
