Deaths (01/16/01)
CUCCIONE _ Michael James, passed away January 13, 2001, age 16 years. He is
survived by his loving family, dad, Domenic; mother, Gloria; brother,
Stephen; sister, Sophia; grandparents, Armando and Anna Cuccione, Jane
MacSporran, Jim Butterworth; his uncles Michael (Carla), Steve (Julie),
Philip (Jennifer), Ken; aunts Rena (Vince), Carmela (Craig) Rosa (Enrico),
Lynn (Tony); cousins, friends and fans. After a courageous fight Michael
lost his final battle for life, and passed to the presence ofhis Lord, after
surviving two bouts of cancer. He celebrated six years of being cancer free.
Sadly Michael succumbed to lung and respiratory complications. He will
always be deeply admired by his incredible tolerance toward suffering. His
big smile always left one feeling warm and accepted. He will be sadly and
forever missed by his loving family and friends. A special thanks to staff
in I.C.U. and especially his primary care nurses at B.C. Children's
Hospital. Prayers will be offered Wednesday,January 17, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in
St. Helen's Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby where Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 18 at 10 a.m. by Rev.
Ian Charles Stuart and Rev. Gianni Carparelli. Entombment at Ocean View
South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to the Michael Cuccione
Foundation, P.O. Box 31081, 8-2929 St. John's St., Port Moody, B.C. V3H4T4.
