Indeed, ReThuglyKKKans must explain why they oppose health insurance
reform!

AmeriKKKa spends double the percentage of GDP ("Gross Domestic
Product") on health care compared to other developed (OECD) countries
-- 16% compared to 8%. The OECD countries cover 100% of their people
for that 8% of GDP, but AmeriKKKa's 16% of GDP covers only 85% of the
population and leaves about 45 million with no coverage. Those 45
million do get treatment, but they're forced to clog emergency rooms
in order to do so. It would be much more efficient for them to go to
doctors and leave emergency rooms for emergencies.

As you say, ReThuglyKKKans need to explain why the excesses of the
insurance companies are permitted to continue -- that extra wasted 8%
of GDP, 45 million uninsured people, massive profits, denial of
coverage to people who are unlucky enough to get sick or have pre-
existing conditions, payment of grotesque salaries to insurance
company executives, etc. ad nauseum!

Proven fraud and disgrace Col. Bill Kilgore clearly is a moron. The
GOPee MUST EXPLAIN its oppposition to health care reform or continue
to be treated as the braindead collection of motley shitards that it
really is.

Considering the fact that they Repubs have explained their opposition
numerous times, and that the American public is opposed to this plan 67-33%,
what is it exactly you are looking for, you brain-dead moron.

Easy-peasy-lemon-squeazy. We're against it because it's a 2700 page

Translation -- you can't read and are hopping flopping mad about your
lack of comprehension. Obviously others read the bills because they
wrote them, and they'll be read more in public during the
reconciliation process. Wanna try again, fool? <snicker>

NOBODY can read, understand, digest, and interpret 2700 pages of dense
lawyerese. It's the length of the last three Harry Potter novels
combined - the difference is that it's all in legal jargon, and any
sentence that's over looked has the potential of disastrous results to
the US economy, America's healthcare system, and the lives of
Americans.

No. Nobody read the bill. Nobody wrote the bill. Many, many, many
people wrote pieces of the bill, all behind closed doors and the
contents being leaked via rumor. Isn't THAT special?

As of this writing, 61% of Americans want the Democrats to drop
healthcare all together. ObamaCare has already cost the Democrats Ted
Kennedy's old seat, and will certainly cost the Democrats the House,
and it's increasingly obvious they're losing the Senate as well.

Oh, horseshit. Far longer bills (budget, etc.) are proposed, passed,
reconciled and signed into law every year.

YOU'RE "special" because you hallucinate that the bill is bad just
because many people agreed on compromises. That's the way the system
has worked for 200+ years. Too bad you're totally ignorant and ride

The AmeriKKKan people are in any time they choose to be through their

any group to which you belong that's participating. Can you write a

Not without debate, and passed strictly along party lines in the
middle of the night on Christmas Eve.

And certainly not bills that annex one sixth of the US economy.

Throw into the mix that 61% of Americans are against the bill, and
suddenly one can see just how large a disaster the Democrats and Obama
have created for themselves.

There are no compromises - the Republicans have been shut out of
writing this bill just as effectively as they were writing the
Stimulus Bill - and were this bill to be shoved through in the middle
of the night, the results would be the same ....disaster for the
Democrats.
.

Actually, no. Senators out and out bribed to vote for a bill? We
start paying four years in extra taxes and fees before the benefits
start? Nebraska and union members get a free ride? Strictly along
party lines? Annexing one sixth of the US economy? And all for a bill
that less than one in three Americans support? You do understand that
this bill is so insanely unpopular that it cost you Ted Kennedy's
seat, don't you?

And you claim this is business as usual? Horsefeathers. An historian
has to go back to 1855, when the Democrats shoved through a bill which
would authorize new states to vote on slavery to find anything that
reaches to corruption of this magnitude....and that bill lead to the
Civil War.

Done and done - the Tea Party has already been formed. In Townhall
meetings across the country, we've made our voices heard loud and
clear. (I loved watching hysterical democrats have to deal with an
angry citizenry.) We've kicked the scoundrels out in New Jersey,
Virginia and. of all places, Ted Kennedy's seat in Massachusetts. As
of this writing, six Democrats have "retired", rather than face
certain defeat.

How hardily did you laugh last week at this time? Howzabout when you
lose the House and Senate in 38 weeks? What sort of gaffaws and

In case you haven't noticed, There's a whole new breed of Repubican
coming to Congress. The moderate, "compassionate conservative" is out

Still plenty of time for compromise between the two versions.

> And certainly not bills that annex one sixth of the US economy.

Insurance companies RAPE one sixth (16% to be exact) of the US economy
at present. All other OECD (developed) countries spend half that
amount (8%) and cover 100% percent of their citizens.while AmeriKKKa
leaves almost 50 million people bare. Shameful.

Your 61% figure comes from a known rightarded shill. See below.

ReThuglyKKKans were accepted in the Senate version!

Actually you're wrong. Compromise does not equal bribes. Even giving
a ReThuglyKKKan Senator from Nebrask unique exemption for his state's
citizens was a necessary compromise -- repulsive but necessary for the
greater good. Strict voting along party lines just means that 100% of
ReThuglyKKKans oppose progress. Financing of reform is designed to
cost net $100 billion/year for 10 years -- a tiny fraction of the cost
of the totally bogus Iraq War. Nothing's been "annexed" -- merely
cost controlled. If you subtract 61% negative (your rightarded cooked
figure) from 100%, the remainder is 39% which is much *more* than
"less than "one in three"! Your math skills sure do suck! We have
only your word that one bill cost Kennedy's seat.

You really aren't good at this at all. Your stringing bullshit
together is still bullshit. <snicker>

Keerist -- you've cited a goddamned rightarded shill -- see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasmussen_Reports .

"Reputation - Democratic Party activists have pointed out that Scott
Rasmussen was a paid consultant for the 2004 George W. Bush campaign.
[10] According to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight.com, while there are
no apparent records of Scott Rasmussen or Rasmussen Reports making
contributions to political candidates and its public election polls
are generally regarded as reliable, "some observers have questioned
its issue-based polling, which frequently tends to elicit responses
that are more conservative than those found on other national
surveys."[11]"

We weren't converned by loss of one Senate seat. We'll wait until
2010 elections to see what happens, but loss of both Houses is merely
one of your more obvious drugged delusions. ACORN is innocent until
proven guilty, and it's emerging that smear attempts so far have been
mere witchhunts.

Send your smarmy rightarded shouters. The Palin family proved itself
to be insufficiently trustworthy for Sarah Stupid to win the
election. I watched her grotqesque failures in her interviews with
Katie Couric. Did you? The Plumber was a buffoon and ultimately
turned on his own handlers. <snicker> KKKase KKKlosed.

OK, so there will be a compromise between one corrupt bill that was

read the damned thing and depended on threats and bribes to get shoved

single Republican voted for either version of the bill.

My wife's mother had a stroke two years ago. She lived paralyzed for
over a year and a half, until we lost her last June. She didn't have a
fancy Cadillac insurance plan enjoyed by federal employees, she bought
her own. There wasn't a single piece of medical equipment she didn't
have access to, and she was never turned away from any hospital.

Her mother, OTOH, lived in Yugoslavia, and enjoyed the benefits of a
caring socialized helathcare plan. She broke her hip - the state
decided that her life was not worth saving, so they have her
painkillers and allowed her to die slowly over a six month period.

"Maybe grandma would be better off with painkillers than that
operation."
B. Obama.

That' "known rightarded shill" was within a half point during Obama's
2008 election. No other poll came within three points. They
accuratly predicted the New Jersey election, Virginia and
Massachusetts. The poltically aware ignore Rasmussen at their own
peril.

No, they don't. However, stating that people from Nebraska's medicare
bills are covered by citizens of the other 49 States is not a
"compromise" - it's an incredibly cynical, slimy bribe - one that was
rejected by Nebraskans - the very people who were supposed to be

Is "ReThuglyKKKan" your cute way of spelling "Republican"? If so, may
I point out that Senator Ben Nelson (D) is a Democrat, not a
Republican.

Here is a quick way to remember who voted for voted for ObamaCare:
Everyone single person who voted for it was a Democrat. Not one
Republican supports that vile bill. Because the Democrats have clung
barnacle-like to ObamaCare, you guys lost Ted Kennedy's seat, and in
38 weeks will lose both Houses.

No, ObamaCare is estimated to cost the American people 100 billion
dollars each and every year. That the TOTAL cost for the Iraq/Afghan
wars.....combined.

The cost for ObamaCare is so outrageous that for the first four years
of existance, there will be no benefits - just higher taxes and
insurance fees. That extra money will off set the massive losses for
the first six years of actual benefits. What happens during the
second decade, when there will be no such stockpile of money to fall

The loss of the House is all but a foregone conclusion. With
Kennedy's seat going to the GOP, and Lieberman opening talking about

possible. Even if the Dems manage to hold onto the Senate, simply
because not many Dem Senate seats were in play this cycle, they will

Shocker polls: That Sarah Palin-Barack Obama gap melts to 1 point
[Updated]
December 8, 2009 | 2:42 am

SarahBookHeadshotlkrtpenap

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy, look what the pollsters just brought in.

A pair of new surveys revealing that President Obama is still
declining and has hit a new low in job approval among Americans just
56 weeks after they elected him with a decided margin.
FOR THE RECORD:
A Top of the Ticket post Tuesday on the relative popularity of Sarah
Palin and Barack Obama erred in stating in the text and the headline
that there was a Palin-Obama gap of 1 point. Two separate polls were
cited, as the post notes, so the findings are not directly comparable.
And -- wait for it -- Republican Sarah Palin is successfully selling a
whole lot more than books out there on the road. Even among those not
lining up in 10-degree weather to catch a glimpse of pretty much the
only political celebrity the GOP has these days.

First, el jefe. Facing double-digit unemployment, rising spending,
deficits and Afghan war casualties plus a keystone but stalled
healthcare reform effort that caused a rare Sunday presidential visit
to Capitol Hill, Obama recently fell below 50% job approval for the
first time.

Then, last week's deft dance of rhetoric over sending reinforcements
to Afghanistan but, on the other foot, bringing them home quickly
maybe gave him a brief boost. That, however, collapsed with equal
rapidity.

Obama's new Gallup Poll job approval number is 47%. Last month it was
53%.

Regular Ticket readers will recall how in this space in late November
we pointed out that Obama's closely watched job approval slide was
coinciding with Palin's little-noticed rise in favorability. And it
appeared they might cross somewhere in the 40s.

Well, ex-Sen. Obama, meet ex-Gov. Palin.

The new CNN/Opinion Research Poll shows Palin now at 46% favorable. [A
previous version of this post said that, at 46%, Palin was “just one
point below her fellow basketball fan." The CNN/Opinion Research Poll
did not ask respondents about Obama.]Click here to find out more!

You ignored Democratic victory in New York because the original
ReThuglyKKKan candidate wasn't rightarded enough for the radical GOPee
Chairman, and he insisted on running someone even more extreme after
the original ReThuglyKKKan candidate dropped out in disgust. You only

No, she avoided them. AGAIN, she bought her own health insurance.
She was afraid that if she depended on Medicare, after she died, they
would annex her house - a very realistic fear, as it turned out.
Three months after the death, California's version of Medicare
(MediCal) wrote to my wife demanding the copy of the lease to her
mother's home, along with all financial statements. I sent back a
very polite note explaining that she didn't use there services, and
therefore didn't owe any money. We haven't heard from them for four
months.
.
BTW, I was quite impressed when I read of your outrage over my wife's
grandmother being allowed to die slowly. Your passion on the subject
has doubly reinforced my opinion of compassion on the Left.

As it happens, CNN/Gallup came out with their own poll numbers on the
subject today.

They have the number of people who believe Congress should just forget
the who thing at 69% - a full eight points higher than Rusmussen. .

Washington (CNN) – Only three in ten Americans say they want Congress
to pass legislation similar to the health care reform bills that have
already been approved by the House and Senate, according to a new
national poll.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey also indicates that nearly
half the public, 48 percent, would like federal lawmakers to start
work on an entirely new bill, and 21 percent feel Congress should stop
working an any bills that would change the country's health care
system.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/01/26/cnn-poll-half-say-start-anew-on-health-care-bill/

Tell me, if Rasmussen is nothing but a Republican shill, shouldn't
their negs for ObamaCare be even higher than CNN's?

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to
develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is
clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's
weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a
great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will
use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies
is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten
times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with
the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including,
if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to
respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its
weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
-- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and
others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass
destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region
and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass
destruction and palaces for his cronies."
-- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his
weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and
nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War
status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and
is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop
longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our
allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by:
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a
threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the
mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass
destruction and th! e means of delivering them."
-- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical
weapons throughout his country."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible
to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as
Saddam is in power."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and
developing weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are
confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and
biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course
to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities.
Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
-- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the
authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein
because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction
in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working
aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear
weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have
always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of
weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years,
every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and
destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity.
This he has refused to do"
-- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports
show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and
biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his
nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to
terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that
if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his
capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying
to develop nuclear weapons."
-- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that
Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing
capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass
destruction."
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal,
murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a
particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to
miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to
his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass
destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass
destruction is real..."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

"Sour grapes"? Try "cracking out the Champagne." We just won New
Jersey, Virginia and Ted Kennedy's old seat. 69% of the American
people are against this bill, which is why in the Generic
Congressional races, Republicans currently enjoy a 9 point advantage.
in 1994, we had a two point lead.

ReThuglyKKKans have established themselves as THE PARTY OF NO.

Many folks can't afford provate insurance. That's part of the reason
why healhcare reform is needed. Other reasons include AmeriKKKa
spending twice as much (16%) of its GNP on healthcare compared to
other developed nations (8%), as well denial for pre-existing
conditions and capped coverage.

Never called him anything but a Bluedog Democart. You drew your own
conclusion, fool.

Rightarded CIA and military lies, along with Bu$h's WMD lies, led to
the whole Middle East morass in which AmeriKKKa is now stuck. Kudos
to President Obama for thinking about working toward solutions.

You must be smoking crack as you swill your cheap champagne. A few
election wins don't amount to much. Democrats control the White House
for at least 3 and likely 7 more years. Democrats still have
substantial majorities in both Houses. One Senate seat and two
governorships mean nothing at the federal level and little at the
state level.

That may change, but obviously those crafting the bills are working
out the financial aspects carefully. Health care reform clearly is
needed, but after so many decades of rightarded opposition to delay
it, it's going to take awhile to implement it. Relax and go with the
flow.

No more massive deficit spending.
No more Chicago Thug politics.
No more socialising our industries.
No more "Stimulus Spending"
No more "Cap and Trade"

All sounds like winners to me.

.
And many more without insurance simply choose not to buy it. When we
get down to the actual number of people who want insurance, and can't
afford it, we're talking about a couple of percentage points - surely
theres a better way to cover those people than destroying the finest
medical system in the world.

And how do those other country save cash? By refusing treatment when
people become very old and very ill. Hope you have fun when YOU

Three elections.

One being Ted Kennedy's seat.

Won with a 36 point rise in three weeks.

AND OBAMA CAMPAIGNED FOR ALL OF THEM.

EVERYONE OBAMA CAMPAIGNED FOR, WENT DOWN IN FLAMES.

69% of the American people want ObamaCare just dropped.

Obama refuses to listen to the American people.

In the Generic Congressional races, Republicans currently enjoy a 9
point advantage.

In 1994, we had a two point lead.

Unemployment rate shows strong signs of creeping even higher.

The stock market has been tanking.

Last night, Obama, at best, insulted, and at worst, threatened, the
Supreme Court. He did so on internatioinal television ... and did so
to their faces.

I used to think that 2010 was going to be a recap of 1994.

I might have been wrong - this is shaping up to be a repeat of 1974.

That's about the only aspect of ObamaCare that makes any sense

healthcare much worse, but it's the only part of the bill I've seen
that at least acknowledges the disaster that is ObamaCare.

No, they're throwing sit against the wall and hoping something

You don't get it, do you? It's almost certainly dead.

It's dead because the Democrats wanted to humiliate the Republicans.
You wanted socialized medicine, something the American people didn't.

You could have passed a Health Care Bill with the Republicans easily,
if the bill included the following:

1. Tort Reform.
2. Extending COBRA indefinately.
3. Allowing insurance companies to compete nationally.

A bill based around those three reforms would have worked - it would
have provided better and cheaper care. But Obama decided to play to
the Democrat shaved apes, and instead has to resort to the sleaziest
of all tactics to shove through reconciliation - and if you think the
Democrats are hated now, wait until Obama tries to take over 1/6 of
the US economy on 50 votes.

Indeed! AmeriKKKa spends double the percentage (16%) of its GNP on
healthcare, compared to other developed countries (8%). AmeriKKKan
insurance companies have a license to steal with little or no
competition in many areas, and the unrestrained ability to refuse or
cancel people in order to keep profits hight. HMOs (health
maintenance organizations) are a cruel fraud -- imposing additional
bureaucracy between doctors and patients and offering no real benefit
at all. Such grotesque abuses must be ended!

Because other "developed countries" have a bad habit of allowing the

populartioin consumes the majority of America's medical resources..

Do you know who first pushed HMOs? Ted Kennedy. HMOs were presented
with virtually the same promises that ObamaCare is currently making.
HMOs were supposed to cut bureaucracy, increase care, increase doctor
time....

The public option would offer real competition. UPS and other
delivery companies are forced to keep prices low because of the
efficient USPS, which has been around a long time.

Why make health care a profit operation anyway?

Great! The Supreme Court undid 100 years of stare decisis (settled
case law) and ruled more broadly that needed. The Supremes equated
corporations totally to people. That's absurd on its face, since
corporations live forever (unless charters are revoked). Further, why
give foreign corporations the same rights as U.S. corporations?
President Obama merely called for Congress to undo the Supremes'
travesting by passing corrective legislation. If the Supremes felt
insulted, it was their own fault!

Everything crippling was done during the Bu$h regime -- doubling the
national debt, launching two wars, giving unsupportable tax cuts to
the rich, tanking the economy, etc. ad nauseum.

1. Tort reform means allowing tortfeasors (doctors committing
malpractice) to escape punishment. Studies have shown that
malpractice awards account for only a small portion of medical
expenses.
2. COBRA merely allows insurance companies to continue to gouge
consumers. A public option will provide real competition. Why are
you so afraid of real competition.
3. Insurance companies are exempt from antitrust laws (another
problem). States decide insurance requirements now, but real
competition isn't available in many states or regions. A public
option will provide real competition. Why are you so afraid of real
competition?

Sorry, but it's true. Hell, it might even be a smart investment. For
a 24 year old just starting out in the workplace, an argument can be
made for rolling the dice and doing without health insurance. They're
young, and the odds are against them getting ill. That's why many
don't have health insurance: They don't want to be bothered.

When the Democrats won both Houses in 2006, unemployment was 4.6%.
Today, it's still in the double digits. The last budget written and
signed by the Republicans was 187 billion dollars. After three years
of the Democrats controlling spending, it's increased a ten fold, and
is now in the trillions.

So, let me ask you something, punk: Is America better off now than it

Yo, Valley Girl, you're full of shit. For every wastrel that wastes
essential money on a plasma TV, there are plenty of sick and/or old
folks who need affordable health care. Sick and/or old people don't
have the energy or the interest to waste on electronic doodads.
Further, most younger people are responsible enough to know that they
need to have health insurance rather than consumer crap. You're
merely projecting your own lifestyle onto others. Asshole.

Any fool can find a quick-and-dirty poll that supports something. We
were talking about the rightarded Rasmussen Reports, and then you ran
to CNN. Now it's Gallup from you. What happened to comparison of
Rasmussen and CNN? Where's your methodology comparison?

For example, Gallup surveyed only 1,010 people. Further, Gallup
admits: "In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical
difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into
the findings of public opinion polls. Polls conducted entirely in one
day, such as this one, are subject to additional error or bias not
found in polls conducted over several days."

There are no misunderstandings. Americans know exactly what kind of

Nope. We have tort reform in California - and the way it works here

Obviously you can't read OR think. I never said Bu$h provided Clinton

misinformed many presidents, including Johnson on Vietnam. Got it

Everyone knows that a president's first budget is inherited from his
predecessor. Clinton passed a SURPLUS to Bu$h. Bu$h passed a $1.4
trillion deficit to Obama. Democrats didn't have in 2006 and still
don't have the solid majority needed to pass progressive legislation,
and so the GOPee has become THE PARTY OF NO.

Corporations are groups of RICH people who work to steal everything

economy and coal company opposition to contrrol of climate changing
pollutant carbon dioxide are solid proof of both points!

> > since corporations live forever (unless charters are revoked). >

There you go again with your extreme projections. AmeriKKKa has
existed only 200+ years, and there are many corporations that have
existed for 100+ years -- far longer than all by a handful of humans.
Try to deal with facts and context rather than running with silly
exaggerations that make you look ever more foolish.

So you want to cement de facto foreign corporate power into law (de
jure)? Why don't you just sign over AmeriKKKa to China the way
ReThuglyKKKans began to do as they doubled the national debt (much of
which was bought by China)? See also my point above -- there's a huge
difference between buying elections with corporate contributions, and
merely expressing opinions.

As I said earlier, if calling for legislative reform is a slap, then
it was deserved. An even bigger slap to the Supremes was appropriate
for their thwarting of the 2000 Florida vote recount. President Obama
is a Harvard Law School graduate who taught Constitutional Law at the
University of Chicago and is well qualified to express views on the
Supremes' error in broadening corporate contribution rights!

Iraq was no threat, as Bu$h would have learned if he'd waited for the

diverting attention to Iraq. Bu$h also committed fatal error by
killing countless Iraqis and Afghanis while letting OBL slip away.

Pain and suffering limits in other states such as Ohio have been cut
to as little as $5,000. That's not justice. It's unfair to limit a
jury's ability to really punish tortfeasors (doctors committing
malpractice).

You haven't shown inaccuracy of the FACT that malpractice awards
account for only a small portion of medical expenses. You're merely
whoring for the medical and insurance industry which wants to avoid
punishment for its errors.

> > 2. COBRA merely allows insurance companies to continue to gouge

People don't "like" current insurance. They're stuck with it, even
though its overpriced. COBRA merely prevents a complete cut-off for
18 months when people lose jobs.

So, the mathematical equalization you use is "plenty", huh?

Hows that work, exactly?

If the number of heathy people without health insurance is "x", the
number of old people without insurance is, what? "plentyX"?

I'm not quite sure why any old American lacks health insurance. We
already have medicare to avoid that crisis.

"The Young" are all responsible? Really? When did this major change
is human DNA take place? I seen to remember spending my early
twenties dividing my time between getting the cat high and filling a
55 gallon garbage bag will water, sealing it tightly, and along with
five other art students, rolling it off the top of an eight story
building to see what would happen. (Surprise - it bounced. Sounded
like a canon.)

Millions of young fit healthy Americans in their first jobs do not
require health insurance at this stage in their lives will be forced
to pay for coverage they neither want nor need.

OTOH, those Americans who have health plans Harry Reid determines to
be excessively “generous” will be subject to punitive taxes up to 40
percent.

OTOOH, if you’re the member of a union you’ll be exempt from that 40
percent shakedown.

OTOOOH, if you’re already enjoying government health care, well,
you’re 83 years old, you're going to get your benefits slashed.

OTOOOOH, ObamaCare leaves several million uninsured, the rest have
with worse treatment and reduced access, and the millions it makes pay
significantly more for their current health care

Exactly the opposit. During the Nixon administration, the post
service had become so unreliable that it became a national crisis.
Ever hear the joke "the check is in the mail?" Well, during the 70s,
that wasn't a joke - letters often took a month to go cross town, and
even then it was far from certain that the letter would ever arrive.

It became so desperate that Nixon allowed the creation of UPS and
FedEx.

You idea of "competition" is forcing people with insurance they like
to pay for the mandated insurance. Americans understand the shell
game you guys are attempting to play, and this is the reason that
ObamaCare is so unpopular.

Medicare only applies to old people over 65. There are plenty of old
people younger than 65 without health insurance, and almost 50 million
people overall. Not all of them are 24 years old as in your tiny
example. So you've hoisted yourself on your own petard yet again.
Moron.

I said "MOST young people are responsible..." Emphasis added to
assist your poor reading and debating skills and your lack of logic.
Idiot.

> Millions of young fit healthy Americans in their first jobs do not
> require health insurance at this stage in their lives will be forced
> to pay for coverage they neither want nor need.

Everyone should be insured so that the rest of us don't get stuck in
long emergency room lines for uninsured people with minor illnesses,
and paying high costs for such care. Costs and inconvenience will be
lower overall, and those few who do get sick won't be ruined by high
medical costs.

Only the rich will pay tax on deluxe plans. Union members aren't
rich, but neither are most AmeriKKKans. Congress determines the tax
-- not Reid alone. Your examples (like your poll citations) are
absurd, Valley Girl.

> OTOOOH, if you’re already enjoying government health care, well,

"Slashed"? Prove it. Can't? Thought not.

> OTOOOOH, ObamaCare leaves several million uninsured, the rest have

Health care will be cheaper overall for more AmeriKKKans. Everyone
will eventually be brought under the umbrella of socialized medicine.
Until then the few outside it can still get emergency room care as
under the current grossly expensive, inefficient and unfair system.
As mentioned several times, the overall abusrdity of the current
system is proven by the simple fact that AmeriKKKa pays twice as much
(16% of GNP) as other developed nations (8%).

You just can't refute REAL facts, can you? Lies, absurd examples and
biased polls are all you rightards have. Shame on you!

You've just suggested that I should become like you, i.e., "[a] fool
can find a quick-and-dirty poll that supports something." I'm not
going to respond to your biased polls with biased polls. I'm decent,
ethical and logical. You're simply not, Valley Girl. You're simply a
whore for the insurance companies.

At first it was "Bush lied" - now it's the "CIA lied"

So are you saying that state regulation of insurance companies should
be assumed by the federal government in order to allow national
competition by the insurance companies? A national public option will
provide national competition.

Nixon Schmixon. The USPS is quite effective although it runs at a
small loss from time to time. UPS and FedEx are private. That system
proves that government and private entities can compete effectively in
the same arena. What's your beef?

Obama. You rightards are playing the lie game!

Making money off sick people is sick. It's the same mentality that
allows companies to run prisons for profit and lobby for more. It's
the same mentality that allows Halliburton (now renamed XE in view of
bad publicity) to run wars and lobby for more. It's the same
mentality that causes a rightarded U.S. Supreme Court to remove
restrictions on lobbying by corporations. Rightardism = greed!

Your absurd argument attempts to equate failed HMOs to President

Your "case" is obviously your own mental case. I proved that
Rasmussen Reports was a rightarded shill. Then Valley Girl shifted to
Gallup, and I cited Gallup's own admission of defects (only 1,010
people surveyed in only one day). Then Valley Girl shifted to CNN,
but only 50% (not 69%) oppose President Obama's plan and that poll's
methodology is defective too.

Obviously hastily cobbled polls and other lies are the last resort of
rightard losers of 2008 elections. THE PARTY OF NO continues to
squeal. <snicker>

Yes. For the old.
.

> There are plenty of old
> people younger than 65...>
.
In a land where people regularly live into their 80s and 90s, 65 is a
relative spring chicken.
.

> without health insurance, and almost 50 million
> people overall.>
,
Is it 50 now? Obama said it was 36. Or 40. For a while it was 56.

Let's say 45.
.
>.. Not all of them are 24 years old as in your tiny example. >
.
No, they're not. Out of the 45 million, the Census Bureau itself says
over nine million aren’t Americans at all, but foreign nationals, and
they have various health-care back-ups: If you’re an uninsured
Canadian in Detroit and you get an expensive chronic disease, you can
go over the border to Windsor, Ontario, and re-embrace the delights of
socialized health care; if you’re an uninsured Uzbek, it might be more
complicated.

Of the remaining 36 million, a 2005 Actuarial Research analysis for
the Department of Health and Human Services says that another nine
million did, in fact, have health coverage through Medicare.

Where are we now? 27 million? So who are they? Desperately old 42 year
olds covered with a vast mountain of emaciated husks of enlarged
bowels and shriveled skin covered in boils and pustules?

Nope, it’s a rotating population: People who had health insurance but
changed jobs, people who are between jobs, and the young (18 - 34) who
feel they’re fit and healthy and at this stage of their lives would
rather put a monthly health tab towards buying a home, starting a
family or building a business

That last category is the one to watch: Americans between the ages of
18 and 34 account for 18 million of the army of the “uninsured.” Look,
there’s a 22-year old and he doesn’t have health insurance!
Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

That same 22 year old doesn’t have life insurance, either, or
homeowner’s insurance. He lives a life blessedly free of the tedious
bet-hedging paperwork of middle-age. He’s 22 and he thinks he’s
immortal.

So, out of 45 million uninsured Americans, nine million aren’t
American, nine million are insured, 18 million are young and healthy.

And the rest? According to the Census Bureau’s August 2006 report on
“Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage,” 37 percent of those
without health insurance — that’s 17 million people — come from
households earning more than $50,000. Nineteen percent — 8.7 million
people — of those downtrodden paupers crushed by the brutal inequities
of capitalism come from households earning more than $75,000.

The proportion of the uninsured earning less than 25,000 has fallen by
20% and the proportion earning more than 75 grand has increased by
155%.

What's with the AmeriKKKa? Considering that you live in that shithole
Canada, I don't know where you get the nerve to criticize any country
in the world.

Seriously, is there a world famous building in Canada? A single great
film? A world changing invention? If Canada sank into the sea
tomorrow, what would the world miss?

I'd suggest that Canada has an inferiority complex, but the truth is
that you're just.....inferior.

So after all your dodging and weaving, there are still tens of
millions without insurance that will be covered under President
Obama's plan. We can ignore the foreign nations, since President
Obama has promised they won't be covered, but they're still a tiny
fraction of the total uninsured population. Sophistry just isn't your
skill, Valley Girl.

I never said that either, fool. People starting a business and
raising a family typically are responsible enough to have insurance

Enforced insurance is fine. Those who don't have insurance now get
medical treatment via inefficient emergency room treatment.

Ted had government insurance as a U.S. Senator. Why would it have
required an HMO?

Choke on it, fool:

http://www.boston.com/business/healthcare/articles/2010/01/15/unions_ok_tax_on_high_cost_health_plans/?rss_id=Boston.com+--+Top+business+news

"...would raise the threshold on insurance policies subject to tax
from $8,500 in the Senate-passed bill to $8,900 for singles and from
$23,000 to $24,000 for family coverage. Even the new thresholds would
be subject to adjustment if unexpected rises in health care occur by
the time the plan is effective..."

How many families have family plans costing $23K? How many
individuals have individual plans costing $8.5K? Those are DELUXE
HEALTH PLANS that would affect very few people! I earn a healthy 6-
figure income, have had high level invidivual or family coverage for
decades, but have NEVER paid anywhere near that much!

I don't live in Canada (or the UK as several buffoons have alleged),
but Canadians seem damn happy with their health care according to
occasional articles and TV interviews that I've seen. Can you prove
otherwise? If so, put the proof right here ============>

Have you been to Canada lately (or at all)? Cities are clean and
prosperous because responsible government didn't let bankers run hog
wild with subprime mortgages, etc., and so Canada has largely avoided
the AmeriKKKan financial meltdown! Many mulinationals have huge
operations there as you'd see if you drove along the main highway
north from Toronto. The modern buildings line both sides of the
highway for dozens of miles.

AmeriKKKa had a couple of world famous buildings once. They got
knocked down on 911 and haven't been rebuilt yet. Replacements will
be a shadow of former glory and new targets for ambitious young
Muslims.

Seems to me that you have no real perspective from which to blabber,
and that AmeriKKKa has become the shithole of which you speak
following eight years of the Bu$h/Cheney KKKrime Family's WMD lies,
bogus Iraq War, tanked economy, Katrina bungle, etc. ad nauseum!

Thankfully President Obama and the Democratic Congress are working to
reverse rightarded debacles of that era!!!

Hey, wanna see something funny? Watch ChasNemo squirm

Hey Chas.Nemo, I got some questions for you. Please don't run away.

* Obama said he would "pay" for his Health care plan with savings from
eliminating corruption and waste from Medicare and Medicaid. Do you
believe him? Why wait, why doesn't he go ahead and do it now?

* Obama said we needed to pass his massive pork barrel spending to
prevent unemployment from passing 8%. We did pass it and unemployment
is now over 10%. What went wrong?

* If the Bush deficit was so bad, wouldn't Obama's be 3 times worse?
