Art Bell acted out of character last night. He was scarcastic,
condoscending, and rude to guest Dallas Thompson. Art is usually a
gentleman but he sure wasn't last night. Thompson was far from the
most intellectual guest Art has ever had on but he believed in what he
said which is more than you can say for most of the charlatans on
Art's program.

Art should be ashamed of the way he acted and owes Dallas Thompson an
on air apology. It is not Thompson's fault if he did not meet Art's
expectations. That fault lies with Art and his producer Lisa for
booking him to appear on the show. Since he was on the air Art owed
him the respect he gives other guests and Dallas Thompson was not
given this.

I hope it was just a temporary one time never to be repeated event.
Perhaps Art's back pain was affecting his judgment last night.
Perhaps he was looking overly forward to that Pahrump festival he has
been huckstering on the air and eating those Bar-Be-Que Mutton
sandwiches which he claims that Pahrump has the best in the world. I
don't know but Art you did wrong last night and I hope you set things
right. You mistreated Dallas Thompson without good reason and that is
beneath both you and your millions of fans.

No, Art was just giving a loon the respect he deserves. Yes, Art
*should* be ashamed, but his on-air apology should be to all his
listeners, for not treating the rest of his stable of loons the same
way.

Even the patron saint for the passionately credulous has a bullshit
level that can be exceeded.

No offense, but Dallas Thompson was a buffoon himself. Why didnt he mention to
Lisa the producer about Aliens, and "4th dimensions?" Or about governmet
conspiracies? The list goes on and on. Art was just mad that this fool got on.

Well, if that's the case, then he's got nobody to blame but his fuckup producer
and himself. These days, all you need is a friggin website (or, even better, a
cheaply produced "book") and they will gladly hand an entire show over to you.

Yeah, we need to root out these clowns like Dallas Thompson, so we can clear
the way for the more credible guests ... like Red Elk, guardian of the sacred
drum, jumping up and down on his coach and flapping his arms in preparation of
taking off on a sacred mission against those "dang lizard people".

You know, one Red Elk interview could provide a writer with hundreds
of plot ideas. Think of all the fantasy and sci-fi stories his
appearance could generate. I hope he is on again soon!
