Siegel dumped in LA

Starting Jan. 2, 2001, KABC in Los Angeles will no longer carry Coast To
Coast AM in their lineup.
They will fill that time slot with Mitch Albom (12am-2am) and Doug
McIntyre (2am-5am)
Actually, during the whole election fiasco, KABC had Doug McIntyre on
during much of that time slot anyways. It was initially just in response
to the popularity the election process was having in talk radio, but
Doug won over the crowd and KABC has kept him on. (Or then again, Siegel
was probably slipping hopelessly in the ratings.)
This has to be a big blow to Siegel and Coast To Coast AM. LA is such a
major market, and I'm not aware of any other major LA station picking
his show up. (Basically, the big players are KFI and KABC here, but
neither will carry Siegel.)

NewYork, Chicago, and now L.A. before long he will be an internet only
show. Did Art pick this guy or did the networks have any say in this?
Seems to me that he would be one of the least likely people for the job.
He's a great host, but not for these types of topics. Best of luck in you
next job Mike.

started right away. Mike usually has the same callers at least 2-4 nights a
week. I can't recall any time where I knew the callers when Art had his show.
I don't remember their names but the voices and same stuff they spew each time
just irritates me. The worst is the guy that calls ALL THE TIME and goes off
on the guests because they don't agree with his bible. He talks really fast,
quotes the bible a lot and basically tells the guests that they are going to
hell if they don't change there ways. Mike actually shut him up once when Mike
asked if the bible was always right then was Homosexuality wrong, the guy
flipped and said that Homosexuality was not wrong. I've never heard Mike put
someone in their place and not sure how he figured out that was this guys
lifestyle but he did.
The other caller that makes my stomach turn is the whiny Blind guy from Boston.
I have a few blind friends and none of them starve for attention and put
people down like this guy. Everytime he calls its always a "What about me?"
type call.
Has anyone else noticed repeat callers with Mike? I know a lot more people
listend when Art was hosting and therefore it was "tougher" to get through but
it just weird that the same characters get on his show almost nightly.

I don't tune in to CtC much since Mike took over. I've gradually moved to Jeff
Rense.
I think the caller you are referring to is JC. JC has been a regular caller on
ctc for years and Art always had a good time with him, playing devils advocate to
him, using his monster voice box to sound like the devil, ect.
I always looked forward to JC calls.
Now, whether this guy was 'working' for Art or not,.....who cares?
This guy was funny! If there was anything entertaining on CtC, it was JC's
absurd beliefs.
And the sad reality is, there are a significant number of people out there who
think just like him, whether he was legitimate or not.
As far as his sexual orientation goes, if it was JC, JC was homo basher, always
condemning them to burn in hell.
So if it was JC, and he flip flopped, well.... then that solves the mystery:
He's a fake!
Let's hope Art comes back in one form or another and puts an end to this
insanity!

If you are a glutton for punishment, you can still get CtC on KOMO (600
AM) out of San Diego, but the show has really gone into the crapper
with Seagull, his stupid cat stories and his overall lameness.
A breath of fresh air can be had by tuning into KFI (640 AM) from 9:00
to midnight and catching the Tim and Neal show. Usually it's better
than average (until they have the weekly religious hour once a week -
that SUCKS). Unfortunately at midnight, KFI went with the Dr. Laura
Twadleworths show - got what a stupid cunt!
