Fuck the Tai Chi, all you need is the club.

I did 2 years of Korean Military Karate by an instructor trained by General Li.

It was ass kicking hard work and probably the most effective killing art in the
world.

If you want to play grab ass hanky pank weenie games there are a bunch of
classes out there.
If want to know how to stop somebody cold in their tracks you find a school
that teaches the
Military Karate. If you can stand the pain it's a great experience.

better for your love life.

Well, you asked if any of us practice martial arts.

You like ceremony and bowing to the belt?
Learn how to chase off the bugger man?

martial art

NOUN:
Any of several Asian arts of combat or self-defense, such as
aikido, karate, judo, or tae
kwon do, usually practiced as sport. Often used in the plural.

These will teach you the manners to use on the class mat.
But never tell anyone you do martial arts or they might kick your ass
just for the fun of it.

I think the Arthur Murray School of Dance will better serve your
desires.
You are yet to desire the ability to manage a bad situation.

You attended dance classes in the men's room of an interstate rest-stop?

How odd....

At any rate, I think you missed the part where Smitty said:

I wonder how kung fu would stack up against SMITH29's military karate?

If you just want to learn how to fight and need to do so quickly, then
join a local boxing gym, or some other local self defense studio.

Long term benefits of Karate, for example, go far beyond learning to
kick someone's ass. Discipline. Self respect. Courage.

Why not join both? What you learn in the relatively short-term self
defense course will benefit your long term karate [or whichever
martial art] training, and vice versa

In any case, shop around. Investigate. Talk to as many students and
teachers as possible. Make it a life-long goal, and not just something
you do for a few months.
