Folks, please take a moment to consider what you're posting... both
sides of any of the issues around here, but especially the one that is
causing a lot of ill feeling right now.
No matter what your feelings on the subject about whoever, whatever, or
whereever... when you post "nasty thoughts" it not only stays around,
multiplying and creating more ill feelings here and there, but does
reflect on you, whether you care or not.
Yeah, yeah, one big dysfunctional family. But I hate it when *any*
group of friends/acquaintances start getting into bickering fights for
any reason... and once it starts to get hateful, well...
Just please *think* before responding when it comes to others. Not
saying 'don't do it', just think before hitting that send key, please.
Stepping back again... no comment one way or another about either of the
bits that provoked this post.
OK, Time In.

going to get involved with these squabbles again.... to best of ability
at least.)
It's like a train wreck isn't.......you hate it....you are appalled...but
you
can't turn away.....

As a friend and "family" member i think it is worthwhile to point out that
even if we don't read it or even want to read it, it is embarassing to see
this poured out in a forum that at least for the forseeable future
is PERMANENTLY recorded. Do a search on your name in google groups and see
if there is anything you are embarassed to see.
I strongly believe in the freedom of anybody to say what they feel they
need to say no matter how embarassing, but to complain when others point
out the faux paux is a further embarassment both upon themselves and upon
the community.

I'm sorry, this is a Usenet newsgroup. If any given post within the group can
embarass the group we're already in trouble, because I've seen several porn ads
here in the past. And, as you said, it is the right of any individual to
embarass themselves in a permanantly archived, publicly open forum. Just because
it's not the course of prudence is no barrier. Game on!
