How do you say "purr" in Esperanto. As in the sound of a happy cat.

Wells' dictionary says "zoni" (which is buzz) and "ronroni" as a neologism.

zumi, which also means "hum" or "buzz".

ronroni, from the French, means only "purr".

I'd prefer to use "zumi", as J C Wells' "Esperanto Dictionary" marks
"ronroni" as "a relatively recent coining, less generally used". In
general, I prefer a smaller Esperanto vocabulary, building new words
from preëxisting parts, rather than adding new roots[1], and using one
word to mean the same thing in multiple contexts, rather than having
synonyms, each with its own context[2].
