Hello,

I'm trying to compile some stats concerning a wide variety of vehicles
(Cars, Trucks, SUV's, Cargo Vans, Mini Vans etc).

I'd REALLY appreciate your responses as to "how many minutes you estimate
that your vehicle idles on a cold winter morning (at temperatures where
windshield scraping is necessary), until the engine has warmed up
sufficiently to produce hot enough air from it's heat exchange system to
effectively defrost your windshield (totally with no snow or frost
remaining) and warm up the passenger compartment (to a comfortable level).
Also, as many of us are in a rush to get going in the morning, do you have
the luxury of time to wait until your windshield is completely defrosted?

I realize that there are MANY variables IE. what people consider a
"comfortable" temperature, and some vehicle heat exchanges are more
efficient than others, age of vehicle and condition of the heat exchange
system, temperature, amount of snow/frost on the windshield etc.
Nevertheless, I'd appreciate it if you could just take a moment to just let
me know:

1. Make, model & year of your vehicle

2. Estimated minutes of idling required to achieve the results mentioned
above

3. If there was a system that could TOTALLY defrost ALL your car windows
within 5 minutes, that could be started from the comfort of your home, and
without even having to start up your engine.....do you think that would be a
nice concept? No more frozen hands and face, plus a HUGE reduction in
exhaust emissions pumped into the environment. Put aside the COST for now
and please just comment on the CONCEPT. :-)

I and our environment, thank you in advance for your co-operation.
