What is the proper plural of scheme? Schemes? Schema? Schemeta?
Schemata?

Seems like I was taught that schema was the proper form, but can't find
any references to that.

Thanks! -Cloy

Probably because scheme is a regular English
noun, made plural as schemes.

_Schemata_ is the plural of _schema_ , which isn't quite synonymous

This one (schemes).

Schema?

'Schema' is singular, and

'schemata' and 'schemas' are its plural forms.
