I purchased the Sole E35 after much research and testing of ellipticals. I have had it now since January 2009 and am very happy with it. It has enough resistance and lift to get a good workout, in fact I am still at about half the levels right now. I use it about 3 to 4 days a week. It did take some time to get it together, maybe and hour and a half, but I did put it together by myself (I'm a 24 year old female). The motion is very fluid and the unit itself is very sturdy. The fan is pretty worthless... but I use a larger one anyway. Overall I purchased due to the positive reviews, the price point and the warranty. The Sole E35 has a 2 year warranty, vs many others who only have 1 year or even 6 months. Very happy with the purchase, no problems thus far and would purchase again.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANOTHER MACHINE. THIS ONE IS TOP OF THE LINE. I researched ellipticals for 2 months before buying the sole e35. I chose it because of the 20" stride, the ecb braking system, the power incline, and the 5 yr warranty and 2 years labor warranty. I got it yesterday, so today was my 2nd day using it. It is quiet and smooth. One of my pedals is a little squeaky but I barely notice it. The machine is huge and the fan is very small. But neither of those things would turn me off of buying this elliptical. I am confident that I made the right decesion & I look forward to using the machine everyday!

I bought this product in January 2009 in Dick's Sports Store. This product was delivered to my home in 10 days. My husband and I only used this product for 5 times, it already created mechanical-problem sound from the wheel, which prevents us using it and ruins our passion to keep fit . We called Sole customer service about this issue, and they asked us to fill in service request form on website first. I did it. And they finally called me back in 10 days and told me that some parts would be sent to my home in 7 business day and somebody would come to my home to fix this problem in another 7 to 10 business days. So if you have problem with this product, it will take at least 30 days to have it fixed and it is no 100% sure that it can be fixed for the first time. This is the worst product I have bought in my life. $1300 is for 5-time-use. Now, I can't do anything but waiting.... and the machine is covered with dust and ruin our initial intention to purchase this item.
Overall this is an excellent product. I tried several other brands but none had the build quality as the Sole. That being said, the motor was bad essentially right out of the box. The box arrived and the driver was great to put it into the garage. It is packed so tightly you have to cut the box away from it. It assembled pretty easily within an hour. I turned it on to try it. It worked fine. My wife got on and tried to increase the eleveation. She got a motor error and the screen wouldn't show anything else. It was just after Christmas so Sole was very busy. It took about 2 weeks to get it resolved. They sent the parts and scheduled a technician to come replace the motor. It has been working very well ever since.
