Hi, there,
In the sentences, " The house is surrounded by many trees.
Therefore, the house is private from the road." Is it ok to use the
word "private" to mean "secluded"? Thanks for your reply.

People would probably understand your intended meaning, but
so far as I know, it's not something a native American
English speaker would normally say.

"The house is secluded from the road" is unexceptionable.

It would be okay to say "The trees provide privacy from the
road", but not normally "The house is private from the
road".

But maybe it's normal in some other variety of English.
