When you pick up a rock you have created potential energy! The same thing applies to permanent magnets. Wind turns a turbine, which moves a magnet through coils of wire causing an electric current to form in the wire. The work of the wind transforms the potential energy of the PMs to electric energy.

I've seen and repeated exp. with PMs. Classical Physics is wrong about certain aspects.
