would wheelchair motors work for a wind generator? I am assuming they should
be low rpm motors but will the rotors be able to turn the wheelchair
motor/generator?

Generally a normal motor can not be used as a generator unless it is a
permanent magnet motor.

electric wheelchairs do use permanent magnet motors. the size and shape of
the blades and wind speed determine rpm. rpm determines voltage.

The wheelchair motor I looked up on the web are rated at 190 rpm and the rpm
I expect to get out of my blades is around 200 rpm will that be ok to get 12
volts out of the wheelchair motor/generators

From what I've seen, permanent magnet motors that normally run at high
RPMs are not the ideal motors to be used as generators. Permanent Magnet
Motors like these need to spin very fast in order to get 12 volts out of
them. If you can find a DC Motor that normally runs at a higher DC
voltage of let's say 48 to 100 volts, I think it will work better for
you.
Ebay usually has a few of them for sale at a good price.

The gear reduction on most chair motors I've seen makes it VERY
difficult to drive in reverse (output shaft turning motor) You need a
low speed direct drive DC Permanent Magnet motor
