Hijet. My neighbor down the creek has one for working on his cattle

he's been using it for a few years -- only thing that has gone wrong is
the tailgate got messed up from rough use. Anyway, he had a number of
elk tags for his place this year since they've been over populating and
we went out and got one using the hijet. With street tires that thing
went some places I'd never EVER have expected it to go. We got an elk on
a grassy steep hillside and it was raining like a mofo and that little
hijet went up the slope in low 4wd with street tires hauling out the elk
.. it almost defied the laws of physics. I think my four wheeler would
have spun and it didn't
Four wheelers have replaced horses for ranching around here (you don't
have to feed them when they're off) but given the constant rain and cold
ol Mike got one of these and he's a happy camper. It has heat and a
radio -- can haul some hay and go pretty much anywhere.
He's got farm plates on it and a SLOW VEHICLE sign so he can zoom around
town too. Wish the feds would lighten up on safety standards -- that is
what keeps these from being street legal. Heck if a scooter is legal why
not a hijet?
We were seriously thinking about getting a container of used ones from
Japan and selling to all the other ranchers.
Cudos to the hijet -- very practical bit of engineering there.
