I stopped reading somewhere in the middle of all the Elvis-v.-Beatles stuff,
so I don't know if anyone already posted this, but as we all know, Lennon
said (around 1970): "Before Elvis, there was nothing." And actually, neither
Elvis nor the Beatles invented everything. And why can't Elvis be a great
artist without writing songs? Sinatra didn't write his great numbers,
either. Ah, never mind.

OK.

Yeah, and a _lot_ of bands/singers who do write their own material stink
IMHO. It's not correlative.

Robert.
