I've been wondering how long it was going
to take for this schmuck to be outted.
He used to post on the eBay Elvis message
board. There are lots of innocent old ladies
on that board and if you had seen the way
Roberts talked to them your hair would stand on
end! He called them every name in the book and
even wished some of them DEAD!
His reason for the abuse was because they
complained about his blatent and illegal
advertising. He would post huge pictures of his
junk that took all day to load and clogged up
the board. He refused to stop and he was thrown
off eBay and suspended more times than I can
count.
His stories about being a friend to Elvis are
BS and his products are overpriced and
over rated.
Someone should toss Roberts and Lichter
in jail and throw away the key!
BUYERS BEWARE

Dennis, Dennis, Dennis........
Its a real shame that all these things are coming out.
Skmcarrty there is one story you may not know about. Since Dennis brought up
the name Chris Davidson here it is. Last year Dennis walked into the
Elvis-A-Rama musuem in Las Vegas and walked out with a Lee Abler/ Schwartz
TCB necklace that was for sale by Chris himself. Chris and his wife were so
angry that he did not have permission, they pulled his reproduction stuff
out of the display cases. They had various employees trying to track down
Dennis and the necklace. I believe he did return the necklace much later. I
believe this is where he got the molds for his repos. Not the larger size,
only the smaller ones. Dennis you know aswell as I do who I am. You can
claim ignorance if you want, I really don't care. See I do not dislike you
in anyway. I just feel like Paul Lichter you are minipulating the truth to
benefit you. It's just a shame, would Elvis really approve of what you are
doing?
TCB Daniel
He can't be all bad:)

Oh yeah, this guy just doesn't go away. Listen to him tell the story of how
Elvis gave him the necklace and you'd think they'd gotten sticky.
The price of the goods and his auctions have been a constant source of interest
for me.
Elvis aviators have been 695./895./995./1295, all over the place.
The necklaces too have been all over the place pricewise. I don't even think
he's the real TCB necklace source anyway.
I don't think his auctions ever closed with a winning bid, but he did put some
good pics in them.
I think he just liked putting himself out there, I've never seen him sell a
thing. He probably did well privately, why else would he keep at it?

There ya go! I'll tell ya, that TCB logo had more designers than St. Peter's in
Rome.
You thought right. And the others were made by Schwartz & Ableser of Beverly
Hills.
Here's Lowell's website.

Roberts is a pretender.

The original necklaces were made by Schwartz & Abelesser Jewelers who were
located in beverly Hills. They are no longer in business.
Elvis did give Dennis Roberts one that he just got from Sol Schwartz, he
took it off his neck and asked him to include the TCB design on all the
glasses Dennis made for Elvis. Sonny West was with Elvis at the time and is
a witness. Dennis did make all of Elvis' sunglasses for him at his business
Optique Boutique.
Lowell Hayes didn't start making them until a few years after Schwartz and
Abelesser. The S&A necklaces have a slight difference from Lowells and they
come from different molds. The MM knows what the difference is on the
necklace, that's the way we can tell where they came from, S&A or Lowell.
Marty
Marty,
Why does Roberts claim he was the originator of the necklaces?
I've heard some very unsavory comments about him and his business practices.
This is a quote from Lowell Hayes:
"The TCB and TLC necklaces Elvis gave to friends and to his entourage were
originally designed according to rumor, by he and Priscilla. On August the
14th, 1971, I flew to Vegas with Dr. Nick on a Lear jet that Elvis had sent for
us, during the visit, Elvis gave me the project of making the TCB and TLC
necklaces for him. We discussed some slight changes to the necklace.
The point was too long and sharp, and the letters weren’t arranged exactly
like he wanted. So we did a slight redesign of the necklace, and from then on I
made all the necklaces for Elvis."
Dawn
I am not aware that Dennis claims to be the originator of the TCB necklaces.
He is the originator of the TCB sunglasses.
The way I read what you printed from Lowell is that he was given the job
because Elvis didn't like the job Schwartz and Abelesser did. That's news
to me. The original 12 necklaces were made by S& A Elvis also had others
made by S&A and gave them to other people months after the original 12 that
were primarily given to the guys and his father.
Dr. Nick brought Lowell around a year or so later and out of convenience,
Elvis allowed Lowell to make them.
Dr. Nick and Esposito did their best to make sure Lowell was around on some
tours with his jewelry case handy to sell to Elvis.
In 1971 I was in Vegas with Elvis and had to leave for about four days to
attend a record industry convention, (Billboard) at the Century Plaza Hotel
in LA. Elvis asked me to call S&A and ask them to make about 10 TCB's for
me to bring back to Vegas after the convention.
Lowell made TCB's later, after S&A but S&A were the originators.
Marty
Some how I see a briefcase somewhere with them in there as the original ones
being opened and sold at convenience.
Thanks for the response Marty.
It seems almost everyone is over-glorifying their role as Elvis
friend-merchant.
