I think you forgot a few!! Datin', old macdoinald hey hey hey, a Dogs life
& a few others i can't remmber! ( i sorta still like them though even
though they are bad!!)
Half of these songs I (luckily?) don't even know. But what about "Old
Shep". That must be the worst Elvis-song EVER done!! I can't stand to
hear The King singing that sob-story. Yuck.

No, not by a long shot.

Have you heard the LP: "Elvis Greatest Shit!"
Sounds like you are posting all the titles.

Isn't "Big boss man" from one of Elvis' movies from the 50'ies? The
tittle has slipped my mind, but I think it's the one where he plays a
role originally written for James Dean. Am I right or wrong? And by
the way, what is the name of the film?
Best wishes

No, "Big Boss Man" was recorded in September 1967 and released as a
single ( I think "How Would You Like To Be" was the flipside, of all
things, but I can't recall off-hand) and buried on the "Clambake" LP. It
later showed up on 1985's "Reconsider, Baby", among others. You're
probably thinking of the 1958 classic "Trouble" (not to be confused with
the 1975 classic, "T.R.O.U.B.L.E.", recently covered by Travis Tritt),
which came from the soundtrack for "King Creole", a movie originally
supposed to star James Dean as the boxer anti-hero in the screen
adasptation of Harold Robbins' "A Stone For Danny Fisher" (Danny Fisher
was the name of the character Elvis played in the movie, too). Phew.
Anyway, the two songs came together for the 1968 TV Special and again in
a 1975 concert in Huntsville, AL. They're both cool songs. Hope this helps.
