Did anyone catch Tanya Tucker a few days ago on TNN? I am paraphrasing but
she said:

Tanya Tucker:

I was at Graceland when he (Elvis) died. I saw him in his coffin. But it
didn't look like him. That suit that they had him layed out in was horrible.
It was powder blue with a big, white tie. It just didn't look like him. I
don't think it was him. I don't think he's dead.

Ralph Emery (host):

Are you saying he's not dead?

TT:

I mean, he may be dead now, but I don't think he died back then.

This last line is EXACTLY what she said. I didn't tape it 'cause I was just
channel surfing so it just kinda came on. I stopped and watched her for
awhile (she is hot!), and then she started talking about Elvis and then
boom! I remember something about Merle Haggard saying something as well
about Elvis still being alive.

Any thoughts? Marty, did Tanya know Elvis? And, by the way, was the suit
that ugly? By the way, the suit that he was buried in looks eerily similar
to the one that he is wearing on the back cover of the "How Great Thou Art"
album.

Peace,

Ben in NYC

Ben,

Tanya never met Elvis but she was obsessed with him even named her daughter
Presley. Might be when she saw him in the coffin she was on something and
might be that Merle was on something if he said that. They both had problems
with substance abuse. That was Elvis in the coffin.

While we are on the subject, Marty, do you think that photo that is frequently published in tabloids of Elvis in the coffin is genuine?

Darren,

Yes it is. His cousin Billy Mann who Elvis didn't want anything to do with
sneaked a tiny minolta camera in when he was allowed to pay his respects at the
coffin and took the picture for the Enquirer who put him up to doing it. Billy
is now deceased.

Billy Mann was a modern day Judas.

He sold his soul (and betrayed his family) for $10,000 abd a week's vacation
in Palm Beach, FL.

The Enquirer bought 10 of what we called "spy cameras" at Ed's Camera shop
right here in Memphis, then set out trying to find 10 Judases. I don't know
if all 10 were handed out, but I know they bought 10.

It's the same with Der Stern, the highly-read German magazine. They offered
$30,000 for a color photo of Elvis in his coffin and would provide the spy
camera to do it with.

Both stories are detailed in "Elvis: Through My Eyes."

Bill:
Is Billy Mann still among the living, or did he do the right thing and
hang himself from a tree?

I've always thought that was a horrible thing for anyone to have
done,let alone
a relative.

As I mentioned in a previous message, he died mysteriously in a one vehicle
accident. His pickup truck.

Marty,
Hi!! I just read your post concerning the Tanya Tucker interview on TNN, and I
noticed that you said she never actually met Elvis. Is this true? Because she
stated in the interview, as well as in her book, that she met him on 3 or 4
different ocassions in Vegas. She went on to say that she also got invited
backstage after the show, and even went up to his suite for a party. Did she
make all of that up?
Thanks!

Melanie,

My answer was based on the fact that I never saw her in the dressing room or
suite upstairs when I was there and I asked the other guys and they don't
remember her being there either. She might have, although they don't remember.
So I will not call her a liar.

I'll call her a liar because she is one. People have no idea of the lies she has told. She has caused many problems and heartaches for many people because she is a liar. Yes she's a great singer. So what. She's a poor excuse for a mother. Don't be fooled. She's evil

Kurt Russell who knew Elvis and was in the movie It Happened at the World's fair, (he kicked him in the shin in the movie) he also played Elvis in a movie. Kurt said he didn't believe that was Elvis in the casket. He said he'd shook hands with him and the hands on the body in the coffin were not Elvis' hands.Elvis had long fingers. Actually Tanya Tucker said the same thing about Elvis' hands. Elvis would never have changed the spelling of his middle name because his mother chose the name and that's the way she spelled it. I saw the slip of the man standing in line in the movie Home Alone and it looks exactly like Elvis. He may have passed away years later, but there are just too many unexplained things that prove to the contrary that he passed away in 1977. Vernon passed away in 1979. It's possible Vernon entered the Wittness Protection program as well. Elvis most likely entered the Witness Protection Program when Carter was President. He had lots of contact with Carter that day. Alot of info in the FBI files prove there were issues of Elvis and the mob. Frederick Pro. There's a quote that says...One does not have to argue about the truth ...it will prove itself. Someday it will be proven.
