I am so sorry to hear about Mike! I had the pleasure of meeting him
twice, both times in Palm Springs. He was such a gentleman and a
down-to-earth guy. He loved chatting with the fans and "talking Elvis"
with them. He will be missed!

What a loss! Mike was a class act: a true gentleman, and a gentle man.
We'll miss his tall straight stature, his warm smile, his honesty and
generosity. He was a good friend and a faithful employee; one of a
kind.

Ditto, this is too sad. Even his story about the pieces of Graceland fence that he
saved in his workshop was interesting. (I came home from Palm Springs with a piece
of the fence.) It feels like the Elvis world is falling like dominoes. Judy

My heart is filled with sadness at the loss of Mike McGregor. Mike will be
missed by so many of us who knew him, he was a dear friend and a ture friend to
Elvis and his memory. We will be dedicating our Circle of Friends Elvis Event
in Palm Springs to Mike. Mike was one of the very best. Knowing him has been a
treasured memory.

Mike McGregor was the first taste of southern hospitality I found when I
traveled to Memphis on college break in 1970. In fact, Mike was on at the gate
the very first day my friend Dave and I visited Graceland. I couldn't believe
it when he offered to drive us up in his jeep to take a better picture of "the
house." I just never forgot that courtesy and the kindness he displayed to yet
another Elvis fan. God Bless You Mike, and thanks again for the good time. -

Mike gave us two fantastic days in October 1996 when we were filming him
in his workshop in Oxford for our documentairy about the history of
Elvis.
He gave all his time to show and explain about the time he was together
with Elvis. We will misssing him and our thoughts are with Barbara and
their Son.

Mike was by far the best human being I have ever met. His love for his family
and his friends knew no bounds. Once you were his friend, it didn't matter if
he had known you a year or a thousand, he loved you just the same. If anyone
ever needed anything, he was there to give it. I was fortunate enough to
become friends with Mike several years ago, and I have to say I feel like I
learned a lot about life and truly living from him. I will miss him a lot as I
know everyone will. Someone said to me yesterday, Mike is in a great place,
it's the rest of us who are suffering....

You are welcome Ian, I feel so bad that there is not more that can be done. The
time and effort is well worth it, Mike was a very special friend to many around
the world and touched the hearts of us fans. He will be greatly missed.

I once had the great pleasure of being a guest at Mike's house in Water Valley, MD for a "jam session" on a Saturday night. He later did some work on a piece of my great grandmother's jewelry. I know this is way late, but may he rest in peace. I didn't know him well... but he treated me like I was a long lost friend. Kelly Bustard.

Mike was my darlin.
We ran around together every January and every August for many years thru the '80's and 90's in Memphis.
He gave me several things that had to do with Elvis.
Remember late night rides thru empty streets of Memphis. A ride in a white Peabody carriage. ?.everyone clapped when we stepped off. We could not figure out why until we saw the sign on the back "JUST MARRIED!"
I got to wear a necklace, bracelet and ring that belonged to Elvis at one birthday banquet thanks to Mike
He called me right before he passed away, for one last conversation.
I will always treasure the moments I had with him.
