"Weve got basically an old electricity network that leaks electricity, it
leaks energy, all the time." - President Obama

...and it's the old meme of buying cheap up front
instead of thinking about the long run.
Short -term thinking has gotten us into the mess we're in.
Imagine if we had a grid with transformers
that were 96% efficient instead of 92% efficient.
Somebody is paying for that 4% loss right now--and it's YOU.

Actually you just called yourself a stupid person.

The transmission grid actually is constantly leaking electricity.

It is from coronal discharge from frayed connections and especally from
leakage across dirty, cracked, or burned insulators. as well as ground
leakage inside of old or slightly damaged transformes and inductive
reactor units used for line balanceing.

Yes Petey there is constant leakage in our power grid. You don't know
everything!
