I actually got one of those flyers in the mail. Makes me wish I had
my former figure back. I could put on some sex-kitten clothes and show
up to services. It would be...interesting.

My Conservative Baptist church always *did* teach the Southern
Baptists were party animals on the express train to Hell.

I dunno. All I see is a URL, and I don't tend to click on URLs.

But if it doesn't have to do with education, indeed I would prefer to
not see it on the education newsgroups, starting with YOUR posts.

After all, let he who is without sin cast the first stone - stop
posting off topic and maybe I'll consider supporting your complaints
about others, even cary.

But I won't hold my breath.

Reverse that. Until you are condemning liberals for their posts off
topic, you don't have legitimacy to condemn mine...unless you admit a
double standard.

I have no obligation to do so. YOU are the issue, not me. No matter
how many times you try to change it to being about your books, or
prejudice against your religion, or whatever, the issue remains YOU.
YOU are the self-centered ignoramus that thinks anyone but YOU cares
about YOUR silly opinions about everything under the sun.

>Until you are condemning liberals for their posts off topic,

I have. About this time 4 years ago I was lambasting some guy with
the handle Abe who was unabashedly liberal, and indeed extremist and
seemed to consider the education newsgroup his personal Democratic
billboard.

But by and large, all of the liberals put together don't abuse the
newsgroup as much as you do, all by your lonesome.

>you don't have legitimacy to condemn mine.

Of course I do.` All that takes is a keyboard and Internet access.

But if you mean "credibility", my credibility on the newsgroup runs
circles around yours.

>unless you admit a double standard.

No, I have a single standard. You can claim, that I don't enforce
that standard uniformly. But of course not all violators of my
standards do so equally. Some, like you, do so obnoxiously.

I'm also not net police, and it is thus not my job to enforce my
standards, much less to do so equally. I have the freedom to choose
my targets, and I tend to aim for the one that pastes a bullseye on
his forehead with every post - Kennie the Superdodo.

jalison, while he doesn't always post about education, at least posts
educational material. YOU post ignorant material.

For those that care, jalison makes it relatively easy to filter his
posts - he changes handles only when his ISP changes. You sometimes
post from more than one handle in a single day, Mr Wide Eyes Carpathia
in Wonder.

You show no respect for anyone else, so no one has any obligation to
show respect for you.

And I will continue to give you both barrels when you post off-topic.

By the way, Mark, you may be personally interested in the fact
that Our Ken -- totally undeterred by God's having taken careful
aim at quote-sinful-unquote New Orleans, squ e e e e e z ed
the trigger, and <BOOM!!> totally missed the French Quarter
last time around -- undeterred, as I say, Our Ken cheerfully
offered us this:

One note in addition, though. While New Orleans is very
sinful, surrounding areas are very Biblical. So, I
would expect damage to be held, mostly, to the coast and
expect the storm to fall apart upon land fall. We'll
see.

Givin him a bye on the fact that *all* hurricanes do most of
their damage to coastal areas and lose energy while over land,
I shall confine myself to pointing out that clearly,

Heh. For the second time, god went after those "surrounding areas" that
"are very Biblical". I keep telling people god hates Christians. That's
why he destroyed millions of dollars worth of churches with Katrina but
spared the Quarter.

Your evidence that this is "a thread that is off-topic by another
poster":

>Do you or do you not condemn Cary for doing it?

I have seen no evidence that Cary posted off topic (nor have I seen
evidence that he posted on topic, of course). But cary is not the
issue. YOU are the issue.

Is he? Where? I don't see him. I just see your words on a computer

reason to doubt that he is in Tampa or wherever in hell you are
living.

every time you post nonsense.

Hello? LOOK at the thread we are currently in and the original post
that Cary posted. Do you suggest that Southern Baptists Rock is an on
topic education post? If so, I'll make sure to post about Southern
Baptists, also.

Do you back his double standard of condemning my posts for being off-
topic but being unwilling to do the same for liberals? Are you a
hypocrite, also, or do you have no problem with conservatives being as
off topic as liberals?

It's a title of a thread. I have no idea what it means. His original
post had nothing either on topic or off topic. Just a URL, and I have
no idea what the topic of that URL was.

So, if I posted a post with Southern Baptists Rock in the subject and
a single link in the body of the text, I would not be off topic in the
education group?

You might or might not. If you were on topic, I couldn't criticize
that post for being off topic. But I have no doubt that there would
be something idiotic in the post, since that is true for at least 99%
