Dear All,

I have read an article refereing to a study on women's performance in
written assessment. My memory tells me that the researchers found the
women on the study to perform worse when their identity was revealed
in the assessement. The researchers drew links between revealing
identity and matching with a stereotype of women from this social
group being 'not as cleaver' as others.

I cannot find the paper.

Does anyone know of this or other bits of research concerning girls'
performance in examination, annonimity kept during marking and
stereotypes.

Cheers
Sara
