Does anyone know how to get in touch with this school or even what state or country they are located in? Their website is www.ashwooduniversity.net but all it leads to is a payment page.

By a coincidence, I'm about half a mile from that location. I've got
other business today, but I'll try to get by there tomorrow and see what
it is.

My experience with those kind of addresses on Industrial Road is that
they are usually small office suites occupied by things like travel
agents and insurance brokers.

The phone number at the bottom isn't correct, since San Carlos' area
code is 650, not 605.

Needless to say, Ashwood University is not approved by California's
Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), and
therefore appears to be operating illegally.

I would be interested to know their status as a school. Maybe they are
registered offshore but have a US address.

Why does a school that really wants to offer education need to run from
location to location. www.wgu.edu seem to offer all that they claim and
has four regional accreditation. It seem to be that these people in
general are not genuine. Just trying to find loopholes to make money
not to help people who really need a degree.

For example if a school uses the same process as the H-1B standard to
offer degree then it would make sense to help. This process uses the 3
for 1 option, meaning 3 years experience for 1 academic. That would be
a start, but whats also wrong to take a few exams to make sure the
person is getting a real academic credential. GRE, CLEP etc. This will
not take 10 days would add a lot more respect to the process..

Okay

A DEGREE - HIGH SCHOOL, ASSOCIATE'S, BACHELORS, MASTER'S, OR DOCTORATE -
BASED ON WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW WITHIN FIFTEEN DAYS? SOUNDS LIKE A
DEGREE MILL? NOTE ALSO THE CLOSENESS OF THE NAME TO ASHWORTH COLLEGE,
WHICH IS ACCREDITED BY THE DETC, A LEGITIMATE ACCREDITING AGENCY. ARE
ASHWOOD'S ACCREDITING AGENCIES, THE BOARD OF ONLINE UNIVERSITIES
ACCREDITATION AND THE WORLD ONLINE EDUCATION ACCREDITING COMMISSION,
ACCREDITED BY EITHER CHEA OR THE USDOE?

As far as I know Ashwood University is pretty well accepted everywhere
in the world, I beleive they are World Accredited by the UN Open
International Universities and by about 7 other agencies. They are
locationed in the UAE.

ftbenji,

Based upon a (very) cursory inspection of their web site, Ashwood
University would appear to be a stationary supply company that sells
unimpressive paper at quite impressive prices. They do not appear to
be an educational institution of any sort, and I suspect no individual
or institution in the world, who was the least bit informed, would
accept "Ashwood University" stationary as a meaningful degree.

I think you should be quite ashamed of yourself for shilling for them.

Having read through their website at www.Ashwooduniversity.net offers
good programs. They are DETC recognized as well. One will find that
there degree requirements are clearly stated. Though some accrediting
agencies are made up by "coalitions of schools" they can often be
later recognized by the DETC.
I believe this is the case with Ashwood and the WOEUC.
Please correct me if I am

I'm not to sure about this place and as to whether the acreditations it
harps on about are worth anything. Does anyone know the name of someone
who works at Ashwood University? As we say in the UK its a load of
bollocks.
How does an employer confirm the authenticity of theses qualifications
if there is no adress or contact number?

You should try the Open University in the UK. Its dergees and post grad
courses are more repsected than even some of the more established
Universities in the UK.

Any school that is hard to locate, seems to move around, is difficult to
contact by phone, is very dangerous to your billfold. But strangely
enough the information on where to send the money is always very clear.

I am the proud owner of a lower grand shinny stationary with MBA from
Ashwood University in my possession. This has been an experience from the
start. I really did not need the degree, I just wanted it for ego more than
anything else. I should have gotten one from the High Command of the Great
Mind Flushers Command Center. There is no value in this degree. There is
no student id, verification number, password, etc. You pay your money,
complain enough, and one day the delivery truck throws a degree off at your
house. You will never talk with anyone connected with the "university", the
accreditation changes whenever the mood ring tells them it is time.

The "university" is in the UAE not the USA, which in my opinion takes what
value there is in a valueless degree away.

There is one good thing about these people, assuming there is more than one,
they are extremely difficult to offend.

I have been dealing with them over 30 days and I have a degree. I have none
of the support documents, etc that where supposed to exist. The quality of
the paper this fake degree is on is even less than promised.

The cost of the degree was only $219, even if they tried to charge it twice
which we caught, and I am going to forget the money. It is not the money.
Problem is no one likes to get fleeced from the beginning as I feel was the
problem here. That is why I am willing to share any and all documents with
any authorities that are willing to move this company to another country.

Sincerely

Clyde Rowland

WOEAC claims they grant accreditation to many schools.Check them out,
they grant accreditation to ONE school...yep, Ashwood U...And the
prestigious BOUA? They grant accreditation to a whoping two schools, one
of them being Ashwood. Are the BOUA and WOEAC in kahoots with Ashwood?
I mean, all you have to do is do a Google search fro BOUA or WOEAC and
you get links to Ashwood. The DETC do not recognize Ashwood.I'm
contacting the Dept. of Ed next. Oh well, i guess i can't go and get my
$159 Bachelors degree now!!!
