Hi,
I was the one who posted that story on the net quite a while ago. I
copied it from a zerox copy I had 'rediscovered' at that time.
At the time I did a bit of searching and came up with nothing. I just
did another quite extensive search with all the major search engines and
found... nothing. I suspect that it was a pseudonym.
If you are interested in pursuing it, you could try to contact Search
Magazine, which according to my zeroxed copy, was published by Palmer
Publications Inc. in Amherst WI. 54406
Cool story though, yes?
Here is another one which I got off the net.
THE CELESTIAL BIRTH OF THE LIVING WORLD AVATAR
The author tells us the World Avatar is with us now!
By Charles Daniel
The present living world avatar is now residing in America on the
Pacific Coast where he keeps his residence and himself incognito,
appearing in public occasionally to give discourses on the gospel of
ECKANKAR, the ancient science of Total Consciousness.
He is a youngish looking man, with bright, China blue eyes which seem to
look right through a person. His approach to people is warm and
friendly. Generally, he wears a western attire of sky blue suit, socks
and a sports cap of the same hue.
His name is Peddar Zaskq. How long he has been on this Earth
planet is not known. But it is a fact that his master Rebazar Tarzs, an
ancient Tibetan lama, who appears to be in his early forties, was a
young man when Columbus discovered America.
Peddar Zaskq is a Occidental. The majority of avatars have usually been
Orientals but the pendulum of time has swung back again completing the
cycle when Rama, the first known savior of the world came out of the
west and began teaching the people of the East the way to God by the
universal path of
ECK.
He was the founder of the ancient order of the Vairagi which is the
secret brotherhood of the ECK masters. It is said that he was the first
incarnation of Vishnu. Out of his teachings came the many religions of
the world, e.g., Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, Shintoism, Moslem, to
name a few.
>From his teachings taken out of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad the sacred
scriptures of the heavenly worlds, to the elective few came the
religious books of the various orthodox faiths.
During the early part of the seventeenth century four ECK spiritual
masters who serve in the spiritual hierarchy met in the ancient, sacred
city of Agam Des, in the Himalayan mountains. They were Rama, viceroy
for Sat Nam, the great deity of the fifth world, commonly called the
Soul plane; Rebezar Tarzs, emissary for ECK in this physical universe
today, Gopal Das, spiritual teacher at the Golden Wisdom Temple, on the
Astral plane and Yaubl Sucabi, spiritual head of the ancient city of
Agam Des.
They met to discuss the birth of the coming avatar for the
twentieth century, Peddar Zaskq. Born in the Caucasian mountains during
the seventeenth century he lived and was trained to the heights of
spiritual perfection.
Given several years in the art of silence and darkness he gained
enlightenment in preparation for his return to the twentieth century.
When came the time for his demise, he passed away still looking the same
youthful appearance yet beyond the normal age of men.
Now he was prepared for entering again into the world to take up his
work. The four great ECK masters met once more, but this time at the
Sakipurta monastery in the vast mountains of the Tibetan Himalayans.
This was in the year of 1812 in which many vast spiritual changes were
taking place in the world.
This time the ancient prediction that a new world avatar would be born
on a great body of water, near the shores where horses grazed was to
become true. This time Peddar Zaskq was reincarnated on a Mississippi
River packet boat enrouted to New Orleans.
The miraculous birth took place just below the city of Natchez,
Mississippi, near a stock farm, only a few years after the original
thirteen colonies had become a nation. At the time of his birth a great
earthquake shook the Mississippi valley, forming a vast body of lakes in
western Tennessee.
The work of the hierarchy was completed except for the training of
Peddar Zaskq. Born out of wedlock, it was an immaculate conception, but
it was immediately arranged for him to be given a home in which to be
raised.
His foster parents were able to take him and raise him in a small
southern, river town. He adopted their name and became known as Paul
Twitchell in the twentieth century. He looked and acted and was raised
accordingly like any American child, except for his enormous knowledge
and ability to do soul
travel.
None knew much about him for he kept to himself. His chief
companion was his step-sister who have him much of his knowledge on soul
travel. She acted as the instrument through which the divine power
flowed to open his consciousness to God again, and acted as his guide
until the ECK masters were
able to take over.
The rest of his story is told in fragments of his first visit to Paris
to be with his step-sister, who was in training to be an artist. It was
here that he first met Sudar Singh, an ECK master, and followed him to
India, with his step-sister, to study more about ECK.
Later as a young man, he returned to India and set out to find
Rebazar Tarzs, the ancient Tibetan ECK master, near Darjeeling. It was
here that the contact was made with the great ECK emissary and this
training taken over to prepare him for the world leadership in spiritual
affairs.

Sounds like stuff right out of "In My Soul I'm Free" or perhaps Paul
himself, yes?

It certainly does, Rich. And you continue to bleat about the
wonderful path you're on...and its "Living Eck Masters"...
Epitomes of Truth...
Twitchell, a master of self-promotion, was fond of using phony names
to promote himself and his cult, and he had no problems writing phony
stories under phony names, did he?
I daresay all these other "eckmaster" myths are either lies, the
products of self-induced hypnosis, hallucinations...or good old psychic
attack by deceptive entities. You know...the ones both Twitch & Klemp
warn against, and sell phony "protection" against!
