Anyone else had double charge problems on ebay?

I bid on a 'buy it now' auction, and paid. A little while later I got
a payment due notice from ebay; figuring that my payment did not go
thru, I paid.

I received my item. Then I got a second item. I started to
investigate. I had indeed been charged twice. I have attempted to
resolve this issue through ebay [there is no corresponding dispute
resolution] and through paypal, who closed the case without consulting
me.
Has anyone else had this problem?
