I teach a group of law students interested in interviewing activists in the
SF/Berkeley area who plan to hold demonstrations/protests at the Democratic
National Convention. The purpose of the interview would be to allow my students
to become more adept at identifying client interests and needs, at spotting
legal issues, and at assisting clients in reaching effective strategies. The
benefit to participating activists would ideally be in creating a forum for
creative discussion of potential problems, in getting input on tactical
strategies, and in finding a sympathetic sounding board for ideas. If you or
