Direc-TV Verses Uverse?

Well, surprisingly I have not seen any comments about AT&T Uverse posibly going
away on May 30?
Since I am a news-junky, Uverse has CNN International, as well as C-Span3, which
as far as I understand, DirecTV does not. Sure there are items on DTV which I
would consider an improvement, such as the music service, JLTV, and JBS. Any
chances Direct would include CNN-I and other News channels which Uverse now has?
Also, certainly as I am totally blind, Direct like Dish has a text2speech
interface. In addition, even if I had to switch from Uverse to Direct, any items
on their DVR would probably not follow me over? Thanks so much in advance for
any guidance
